Default Contacting JC Wings?

Dear all

I understand that johanchan2004 is the official JC Wings eBay account, is that correct? I have been rather enjoying buying from them but as I have been unable to get a response to questions lately I am hesitant.

My particular concern was a partial refund johanchan2004 promised me after which I never heard from him again. It's not a lot of money but does not fit with the very friendly and service-minded communication I enjoyed before.

Does anyone know an alternative way of getting in touch with them except via eBay's message system?

Cheers,
Ben

I am under the impression that JC Wings as a whole operate in a somewhat "dark" manner, due to the fact that some of their releases are unlicensed (could cause legal issues etc etc)
Maybe you could contact a retailer that stocks them and ask if they have contact details for them?? Just a suggestion.

There are a lot of lawyers and licensing agents looking for them; it may not be an easy find,
as they've been very slick n slippery over the years!

EVERYONE in the business, everyone; no exceptions! Some are just not as prolific as Johan Chan has been over the years.

Thanks a lot for a constructive response! Nearly hadn't dared to hope for one.

(And yes, I kinda had seen it coming...)

I had a similar problem over the holiday period as well, but it did appear and a replacement model turned with no quibbles. I put it down to the busy Christmas and Chinese new year.

Never had any issues with him, give him a little time - he may just be busy! If anybody does get a hold of him before me, ask him for a 1/400 British Airways Landor B767-200 with US registration! (Who else is going to do it, oh apart from maybe Gemini ) Don`t care what anybody says about him, He has always come back to me in the past.

Same for me (he always answered my messages)! Once has happened to him to send me the same model - VASP YS-11 1:200 - twice (I only paid for one), thinking it had not sent me. I sold the duplicate model for a friend send the value I've paid for the first model to johanchan. As we established a relationship of trust, he usually always accepts my "Best offer" offerings when there is this option on his ebay sales.

BTW: if you use Paypal to pay for your models, you can find johanchan's e-mail on your transaction records!

He finally got back to me (after about 2.5 months) but was very forthcoming, issued the promised refund and apologized for the long delay. Said he was swamped with messages due to the various holidays, plus a vacation...

So my faith is restored. JC is ultimately reliable, sometimes you just have to be very, very patient.

Yes, but money doesn't.
Ultimately it is the judge of this somehow futile hobby which is collecting.

Or the wonderful ANA B747SR-81 "Peanuts". It massively impressed a Japanese friend who visited me last week end. :-)

I have nothing but praise for Johan at JC Wings. He always goes out of his way to help me. He always answers my emails and that says a lot about a company. That's more than I can say about some other manufacturers reps. I enjoy his products and will continue to purchase from him for my collection. He is the only one that has a Continental Star Alliance B777-200 in 1/400. Why don't the others?
