Red face My first solo flight!

'twas incredible! Cessna 150s are definitely a lot roomier with just one person in them too...

YouTube now has a stupid length limit so I had to put the video in 2 parts.

Part 1: YouTube - My First Solo Flight 1/2
Part 2: YouTube - My First Solo Flight 2/2

Enjoy!

Congratulations! I can't wait to go for My first Solo in a couple years! To me the 150 seems cramped even with no one inside . I prefer the 172 MUCH more, but the 150 is a good little Plane.

I did all my training in a 172. I've never been in a 150. But I've heard there terribly small.

Thanks guys!

150s are small, but they get the job done... Not a lot of elbow room but there's still a bit of room none the less.

Have you ever actually flown a small airplane westjetter? You are going to absolutely love your first solo! I sure did.

Love the certificate too sla! Wish they gave me something that cool!

I have! I got my first Half Hour in when I was 7 in a 172, then I got another Half Hour when I was 10 also in a 172. Recently I got 1 Hour in the 150. I hope for another Flight this Summer!

Nope, but was prepared for it since I wore a bad shirt! I got soaked instead as seen in the video.

Sweet man! You wanna be a pilot when you grow up? If so you're over 1/1000 of the way there!

Congratulations on your great achievement.

One point however, is that whilst the video camera was a great idea to record for prosterity, the fact that it was sliding all over the cockpit dashboard and at one stage looked as though it fell down to the floor, was a distraction that you definitely could have done without.

Congratulations on the solo, hopefully the start for a long time flying ahead!

I remember my first solo flight, Cessna 172, early in the morning. Was your age aswell- solo'd on my 17th birthday... Had my father filming my first few circuits then the "big one" from the control tower. Best landing to date! My glasses fogged up too!

Ah yes, now Im looking forward to my solo-command of an airliner... Thats going to be an insane day I can assure you...

Once again, well done, all the best for the future!

And yes thanks again to Matt everyone! Sweet filming and soakage on his part!

As for your Katanas...

Although they may be sleek, definitely not sexy to me... They look retarded as hell! Not to mention they probably have even less room than a C150...

If they give you such a hard on, why don't you just waddle on over to OAS on your way to the flying club, and sign yourself up over there, and transfer out of our "inferior cessna garbage"

Lol nice vid! You sure are the king of condensed versions! On a side note, in watching that video I was reminded just how much I loathe the sound of my own laughing when I get water thrown on me...
