Default the Ghost onboard the LV-MLO...

...we all know the story of the Eastern 401, but I'm pretty sure nobody here knows about the story of the ghost onboard this Aerolineas Argentinas' 747, the LV-MLO (better known as "MaLO" (bad guy) by the Aerolineas Argentinas employees), someone told me this story years ago, and today I heard about it again, and I decided to share this story here...

according to many AR pilots, this story is very true...

The story tells that an AR Stewardess had a very special love with this particular aircraft, becouse, as she used to say, it was "born" the day of the Virgin Mary. And indeed the LV-MLO, had made its first flight on December 8, 1978, to be delivered to the Aerolíneas Argentinas January 13 1979.

Nobody remembers how or when, but this FLight Attendant died becouse a deadly disease. According to the AR staff at Ezeiza Airport, she had asked to fly in the MLO during her last months of work and after the last flight, she died a few hours later... Some months later, when the MLO was being on Manteniance in the AR hangars at Ezeiza, a very blurry and transparent silhouette appeared to 2 mechanics in the rear cargo hold . There was little fuss, and many jokes... they reviewed the plane and, as predictably, they did not find anything... On another occasion while the cleaning staff was in the upper deck, they heard noises coming from the First class cabin in the main deck, One of them came down the stairs and when he stopped in the middle of the aisle, he saw the silhouette of a woman wearing the Airline's Uniform. Since that day, the Mith was born...

But it didn't ended there, by 2000, during a stopover in Barajas, a pair of mechanics also ran away the plane by the "precense" of something in the passenger cabin that frightened them, at least that's what they confessed to one of the pilots of the flight...

In Mid 2001, the MLO was retired from service for ever and was stored in a remote zone at Ezeiza, although they retired all 747-200, they started to send the engines of the 742s to Spain for it's partner airline Air Plus' Jumbos, The final story tells that when the engines began to dismantled, five mechanics heard very loud noises coming from the front cabin, they revised the plane and found nothing, when the got back to work, they heard more noises coming from the cabin, as there were no stairs and the doors were closed, someone raised a crane to the windows level and booo!!!! .. there was a flight attendant walking down the opposite aisle... they ran away from the plane and then another mechanics revised the plane, once again, the found nothing.... that was the last time someone went inside the plane, but according to the EZE staff, not many watchmen approach to the "Malo" at night....

the haunted plane...

I don't use to believe in this stuff, but somehow, this story scared me a bit!

Very interesting. I can be wrong but I think this airplane is still parked at EZE airport very close to the street.

What happens if a ghost catches you??

I mean, if there was someone who was utterly fearless who didn't just run away like everyone else, what would supposedly happen??

You'd slip from it's grip....they can't catch you but I guess they could chase you . I for one would actually like to see a ghost and then ask it why it lingers in this world, and what could be done to give it closure to move on.......yeah right!!

You know what I mean, if you didn't do anything as they tried to scare you and they came right up to you. Would you be ok, or would you become one of them, or what?? (yes yes, I know all of this is only theoretical!!).

Yes, I'd love to talk to a ghost, give them advice on how to sooth their anger management issues and stop scaring people!!

ROFLMAO!! Roarer, you are hilarious!!

So, I wonder where the FA will go once this plane is completely dismantled?? Perhaps she will begin to appear on other planes, where this plane's parts were used. (Much like what happened with the parts from 401.)

Yes, I'd love to spend a night on that too, just to see if all the stories actually are true or not, (and to see if there is any of the old interior left inside).

Or maybe just haunt the place where it's scrapped, like a slightly awry version of a Native American Indian burial site.

The haunted piece of tarmac!!

Although, on reflection, I might just incur her wrath if I said that to her, especially if she had any poltergeist tendencies about her and took to throwing large, heavy or sharp objects at me, so, yes, ok, I won't buy it.

It's not even in my criteria anyway, Ive decided to to Paraguay, Uruguay and Chile instead!!

This a/c served with Flying Tigers too I think.

Before everyone gets too carried away it might be worth reading a book by the late great Martin Caidin called Ghosts of the Air. Caidin is up there with Gann in the aviation writing stakes and the book is tremendously entertaining. All true stories too. The Avro Lincoln at the RAF Museum at Cosford is renowned as being haunted. Im a wee bit sceptical myself but i had heard some of the stories in the book prior to reading it including the Lincoln.
Rambles: Martin Caidin, Ghosts of the Air: True Stories of Aerial Hauntings
Hell, just go here and read it the lincoln story is about page 157 in the chapter called Begin with Tangmere.
Ghosts of the Air: True Stories of ... - Google Books

Read the lot if u can. Its pretty inspiring stuff.

I don't think anything freaks me out more than the scary gremlin in the movie, "Twilight Zone." This creature was wrecking havoc on the wing. It's strange, but the characters and plots from the 1960s tv series and the movie have come the closest to the kind of nightmares I've had in the past.

Cool story, thanks for posting Nacho. Sad to see such a nice plane being haunted :-(

Just as long as she hasn't also decided to have a clean out and donated them all to the local charity shop, I'll be able to live with a few misplaced boxes!

Maybe, but all the faffing about at the beginning of those stories put me right off.

I want to know what happened, NOT what the guy's weight was that day, what such a good egg he and his family were, along with the rest of his life story, I mean Jeezo!! what a frustrating read!!

The metal disc one was interesting, but, still!

Just when you have gone through about 3 different tangents, you think you are just about getting to the bit about what happened .....and then, instead, it goes off and talks about still something else!!

I only read two, giving up before I lost the will to live.

I think if I died tomorrow, I'd have to come back and haunt the DAC forum, posting inane and unintelligible garbage....wait, I think we already have ghosts on this forum.

Smile Re: the Ghost onboard the LV-MLO...

btw heres one more of those ghostly tales.. this time its 007...!!

Bond plane haunted
Crew on the James Bond film Casino Royale have refused to get on a stunt jumbo jet - because it's haunted.

The workers fear the 747 is protected by the spirit of a passenger who died from a heart attack on board.

Crew say the lights and warning systems have come on during filming - even though the jet has no power.

Crew also claim to have seen the woman's ghost gliding up and down the aisles of the 30-year-old plane.

According to The Sun one worker said: "We were asked to stay on it overnight for one scene, but several of the crew refused.

"Some won't get on board at all because of the ghost. It's been a real problem."

The de-commissioned £2million former South African Airways jumbo is due to appear in several scenes.

The plane is kept at Dunsfold Aerodrome at Cranleigh, Surrey.

Spokesman David McAllister said: "I cannot discuss the film but I am aware of the plane being haunted. Everyone knows the story."

That's the one which has the mock B52 style engines, isn't it??

You see that one in the background when they do test track sequences on Top Gear.

Perhaps Clarkson, Hammond and May should go and investigate.

And hopefully they will never be seen again, especially Clarkson!!
That ghost would be doing us a national service!
