Just realized how DEPRESSING this song is; lyrics on the side of this song.

Good song, odd video though.

So was it a bad idea for Ford (Mercury) to use it in a commercial?

They only used the happy parts though.

Right here (Though it's probably gonna be removed in time):

Thanks, that's not one I've ever really listened too for some strange reason.

I am trying to find the film

'Diamonds Were forever' on you tube or somewhere as my first proper intro to Mahler was of this film with part of the music for it being his first symphony. The big racing parade sequence at the end in Australia for example was just IT, to me all those years ago (even if it wasn't very fast).

This was a film from 1987, about the North British company at Springburn, who exported steam locos all over the globe. Famous for driving the locos on lorries through the streets of Glasgow to get to the dockside, and loaded onto the ships by the now Iconic Finneston Crane, they finally closed in 1962.

The North British builder's plate was in the shape of a diamond, hence the film's name, Diamonds Were Forever.

I found a Wikipedia article on the North British Locomotive Co.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_B...motive_Company

There are some videos of North British Locomotives, but I can't seem to find anything on youtube or wikipedia (Yes its not trust-worthy, but who cares) about the company itself or 'Diamonds were Forever'. All I could find were:
-Diamonds Are Forever (James Bond film/Ian Fleming book)
-Diamonds Are Forever (Song)
-Diamonds Aren't Forever

Good luck finding that film!

Was inspired to post this after reading a post on one of the threads.

YouTube - The good,The bad and The ugly part 16(the end)

The main theme starts around 5:40 in the video. The video quality seems like it was video taped from a TV using a camcorder, and the subtitles are in what I suppose is arabic.

Note: The one I used to watch got deleted, and this is the first time I saw this video. I just realized that the theme is cut off right before the credits. If anyone can find a better video of the movie's ending including the credits, feel free to post it.

Well, my classmates got it stuck in my head, so you get to suffer too. (If you want. You don't have to click the link)

Also, it might just be me, but I like to have a bit of diversity in my music. So, as long as it isn't TOO bad ('Crank Dat' that means you), I'll give it a shot.

Watched the Mahler Symphony No. 8 videos again. I searched up what the BBC proms are and found these.

YouTube - Land of Hope and Glory - Last Night of the Proms 08

YouTube - Rule Britannia - Last Night of the Proms 2008

YouTube - Last Night Proms 2008 - Folk Song Medley Part1

YouTube - Last Night Proms 2008 - Folk Song Medley Part 2

YouTube - Jerusalem & GSTQ - Last Night of the Proms 08

Seems like a pretty nice event. I heard this year's one had Seth MacFarlane singing a few tunes (Family Guy fans should know him).
