Exclamation Newbie Question 1:400 scale continuity

I ordered a gorgeous Iberia 1/400 A350-900 from JC that seems bigger than my beautiful 1/400 Gemeni BA 787-10?

Has anyone had experience with scale issues or am I maybe missing something? NG and Gemeni seem compatible.

In what ways is it bigger? fuselage length or fuselage width? Wiki says the -10 is longer but the -900 is wider while the -900 has a wider wingspan.

Thanks for your reply.
After looking into it more, you're right. Even the smaller A350-9 has a wider wingspan and fuselage than the 787-10. The A350 is compared a lot to the 787 but its more like a 777. All 350s are the same massive size except for length.

In many illustrations the 787 and 350 fuselages seem equal, but in reality perhaps the 350 cockpit really looks down at 787.

It does not make much difference, but the mold JC used did place the canopy too high.
The pilot seat should be level with passenger seats in the A350. (The gemeni a350 I think uses the identical a350 mold but places the canopy correctly lower in line with the floor)

Also, the a350 mold is a tad too wide. Even the engines are bigger than the 777-300 engines (GE-90s) and they should be slightly smaller.

At least now I know not to expect that the 1/400 measurements are perfect. They are beautiful and have come a long way.
