Default Package Intercept by USPS

I sold a expensive model on eBay, got paid for it and shipped it out Monday of this week via USPS. I had a uneasy feeling about the sale because the buyer had a (0) eBay Rating and the model was sold for several hundred dollars, I though it weird that someone with no ebay feedback/history would purchase it. But I got paid and shipped out the model per PayPal protocol. I did require signature delivery protection to protect myself. Yesterday, Tuesday night,I got a notification from PayPal that the transaction was voided out because the buyer said it was "unauthorized transaction". My package had been shipped the day before. Has anyone had success in US Postal Service Package Intercept? Apparently they can flag the package in transit and not deliver it to the buyer.

i would recommend you call the post office also or visit them in person. There may be small fee but i think it is worth it.
By any chance did you read the crownvic's sticky on the bad buyer. I hope it is not the sam e person

The post office are often hopelessly incompetent. I would call PayPal Customer Service and explain the situation: 1 (888) 221-1161. Also call Ebay: 1 (866) 540-3229. Persist.

Did you try here?

https://gateway.usps.com/eAdmin/view...CKAGEINTERCEPT

Alternately, how about visiting any nearby sorting center or distribution hub which also has a customer service window (which usually also addresses services like mail hold, pickup etc..)? Hope you get this sorted as soon as possible. Good luck

This is unfortunate for you.
If you have shipped after the payment had cleared but before the transaction was disputed (as it seems) then you should have paypal sellers protection.

Good luck

I have used the "intercept" process once before with USPS and requested it in person at the local branch as they knew me due to my shipping volume....they were able to update their system and the item was captured before delivery and returned to me. That was a couple of years ago so not sure how well it works these days

On my previous ebay rant posts I complained about 0 feedback buyers winning auctions and not paying. It is important that you go into your site preferences and look at buyer requirements and chose no bidders with 0 feedback score.

I'm hoping this works as ebay recently has had a glitch in their software that has allowed those 0 feedback buyers the ability to bid and win. Ebay has apologized to me and say they are working to correct the error.

I did get notice of compensation by PayPal under the sellers protection plan. Hopefully the package will be intercepted by USPS along the route.
