I know its getting old with me and yes you can complain about my continuous bitching, but now I have a close friend and member here who has been on ebay for 15 plus years and 2 models he sold this week the buyers failed to pay. He said this is only the second time in years this has happened.
there is obviously something going on as this appears to be a rash of no payers. On one of his models the buyer had a low feedback score so he contacted the buyer in advance to make sure his high bid was legit as it skyrocketed the selling price and twice he responded that he would pay immediately. The other had a decent feedback score and they too failed to pay.

Real tomato ketchup Eddie?
Nothing but the best! "I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?"
"you're the gourmet around here, Ed!"
I'm a little pissed off I have to link my bank account now instead of my paypal account. I'm just trying to sell 4 models and I'll never be on Ebay again. That's what happens when a handful of companies that don't care about the little guy control the internet

That's always been the case with E. Bay. You have to have a link to your bank account in case you have no money in your Paypal account. If that is the case, E.Bay automatically take payments for your purchases from your bank account.

eBay, at least in the US, has not required your bank account information until recently. eBay is now handling payments directly and therefore you need to upload your bank account information if you want to sell.
Yeah, eBay's a real *****, but what to do? DA.C's direct sales move models, but not routinely. eBay is into my stuff hugely, now including my personal banking info and access. Don't like it, hate it, but where else to go? Over, Doug
dont forget the part where you sell and you get paid 4-5 days later .
you sell , money is sent to your bank account 2 days later
it hits the account ont he third day
it clear on the 4th day
for a sale on thursday before a long weekend , you see that money after 7-8 days, i guess .
it really is a monopoly or the attitude seems to be like that

I’m also searching for an alternative. I don’t sell much on eBay, usually some models I’m clearing out or some books I no longer need. Their customer service just keeps plummeting. Recently sold an old college textbook for dirt cheap. Buyer gets it and claims it’s more used that I said. This guy is clearly lying as my pictures were very detailed. I call eBay and they say I must accept his return even though I said no returns, or it’ll be a strike against me. They said if I get the book and it’s in the same condition as listed, then I’ll get my money back. So I do what they say, and accept this return request.
Sure enough, I get it back, and it’s the same as I sent it. But they don’t go after the buyer for lying - they just issue a credit to me saying it’s a resolution and still give the guy his money back. So they believed a user with 5 total reviews and didn’t believe me with 158 positive reviews. I ask what about my shipping you just cost me even though I said sold AS IS and NO RETURNS? They said the case is resolved, we’re done.
Really lame

u.k neither philippe. well atm. but i did see something to the effect that ebay were splitting from paypal, and ebay taking over role and wait 2 days for payment from buyer. but can't remember when, or it it was for usa only.

"We ran into a problem" - my latest communique from eBay. Now that they have all my banking information, including my social security number, they flub the dub. After their new system linking transactions directly to my bank account, they were unable to transfer funds from legitimate eBay sales to my bank account - something they were able to handle successfully on three recent actions. What's Up eBay? What was wrong with the replaced PayPal accounting system? - a giant step backwards into the fog... Doug
