Default Always Pink... Hmm

Question: Why is it that aircraft, trucks, etc. are splashed with pink funding awareness and not blue funding awareness? After all, males have needs too? "Funk Dat"

Interesting, I too for years have wondered the same thing...For the last decade the Komen Cure for Breast Cancer has dominated all marketing and promotions thru events, media, sports and corporate sponsors. I too have wondered why the pink color cause has dominated while other causes such as Pancreatic Cancer, Lung Cancer and a whole host of others are completely void.

Please don't get me wrong, the Komen cause is for a very good reason and well justified, but why are all the others lacking in similar attention??

Rudi, the thread starter is referring to the pink colors splashed everywhere to recognize the Komen Cancer Cure...

Real tomato ketchup Eddie?
Nothing but the best! "I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?"
"you're the gourmet around here, Ed!"

Hi Rudi,

Brest cancer awareness and the funding of organizations dedicated to the research and services performed for this cancer go hand in hand. This has required the marketing needed to not only encourage women to get regularly screened, it also makes people aware that organizations need donations to fund their programs.

Crownvic (Russell) perfectly explained my concerns about how lopsided baby pink awareness is to the nonexistence of baby blue awareness. In addition to the cancers he mentioned, the number one cancer for men is Prostate cancer. Having baby blue awareness would not only encourage people to donate, it would level out the playing field in the public's eye. Besides, who wouldn't want a pair of 757s with both colors?

In Germany, Condor Airlines has participated in donations to German Cancer Aid (Deutsche Krebshilfe) from 2016 - 2019.

I happened to be looking at the upcoming release thread you pictured to firm my viewpoint.
