Default For the Disney fans

I've been thinking about getting this Olzsewski ship for a while and finally bought one. It's nice. The castle is also by Olzsewski and is 1/220 scale. I don't know what the ship is but it definitely isn't 1/220. It's probably closer to 1/1000.

Beautiful. When my in-laws lived on Key Biscayne, we would take the boat over to the Port of Miami before heading out to open water to fish. We got next to one of the Disney cruise ships just so we could feel how small we were. I wish i knew where those pics wife took that day were right now.

They are beautiful. You were probably next to one of the smaller ones too. They only have four (they are building 3 more). Two of them are the originals and the other two are newer and larger. One of the original two spends it's winters out of Miami and then goes to Europe for the summer.

I've been wanting to buy (again) a few Disneyland Olzsewski pieces but they're no longer being produced and prices have gone through the roof. I still may buy one or two of the smaller pieces though. My second bedroom has become my Disney/office room.

My daughter collects Halloween Disney related merchandise. Wether its the plush Minnie and Mickeys they sell at the park during that time or shirts, pins etc. She has half a spare room full of stuff on display. found this last week sometime at WallyWorld. Has no plans to make and bake, but wants to display with her other stuff?

It seems like all the Disneyland stuff has gone up. Fortunately for me, I’m more of a Disney World collector instead.

We have several Mickey cookie cutters and one sandwich cutter that the kids like to use.

Ha. Thanks. We're still doing that and have been every week. We'll probably wrap up on Halloween and call it a year. I told the kids we might set it up indoors every now and then during the winter.

That's great! Those are moments your children will cherish and remember for the duration of their lives! Sarah is 21 now and I will be a grandpa for the second time in Nov. Take full advantage of the little ones before they spread their wings and fly............................

Congratulations. I'm sure you're excited!

I've been doing my best to enjoy the time. It's like watching the machines become self aware, though. They are 7 & 4. I forget what the 4 year old asked me but I said "Maybe when you're older." The 7 year old turned to her and said, "that just means never."

I have obtained before a photo of the 1:1 scale version. I had seen a documentary on one of the Disney cruise ships. If you are not a hard core Disney fan it would be an ordeal as it is 24 hours a day everywhere Disney, Disney, Disney.

Arctic, Picked this up last night. I'm sure it will be something to talk about since there wont be a Disney Halloween cruise this year correct? I like tying things up together, models with prints or First Flight covers etc. I saw this one also for your ship!
