Default British Airways Wide Body Hunt

I'm new here , I admit normally its military aviation that stokes me but a few month's ago I decided to try and shoot the remaining BA 747 fleet as it draws down to retirement . Something I've spent the last 10 years doing with too many mil types ! Why? What's not to love about the queen of the skies?! I've been calling myself an aviation photographer for years and hadn't shot one jumbo .... and...beacause I can ....

Here's a few I got last time out at LHR. Itching to get back out there once this blooming virus is all finished with. Hope they are of some interest

Magnificent photos of our beloved Queen of the Skies! My favourite is the very bottom one. My favourite BA livery! Thanks for posting!

A few months ago I visited a friend in Mesa, AZ. He's under one of PHX approaches. Had Just gotten out of the car and looked up to see a BA744 coming in. Beautiful sight.

Very nice pics.

Wonderful shots! The Landor scheme was, IMO, the finest BA livery that was ever used. I’m an A380 fan myself, so she’s the Queen of the Skies for me. Though I can’t deny that the 747 makes for one hell of a Princess.

Neil.

Great series of BA 744's. All taken from Myrtle Avenue I presume ? Most are in temporary storage now, with some ongoing uncertainty as to what will fly again after the crisis is over ?

Here's one I got in November, the good old Negus colours.

Here's an up to date list of what's currently parked up.
