Default Cayman Airways exhibit

Just got back from vacation. I ended up walking around Georgetown and they had a little thing about Cayman Airways.

It was a beautiful day in Grand Cayman. The sun broke through around lunch. It's a tendering port.

Excellent displays in telling their story.

Glad you enjoyed the Cayman Airways 50th Anniversary Exhibit at the National Museum. The airline has played a pivotal role in the economic success and development of the islands, particularly tourism. In picture #5, by brother is the 2nd pilot from the right.

Wish I had known of your visit, I would have welcomed the opportunity to meet a fellow DA.C member.

Awesome! I'm sure you're very proud that he made it into the exhibit.

It's a beautiful place you have there. It was a shame to leave...especially the weather.

Neat display! Thanks for sharing! Glad you got to go. In 1990 the cruise ship I was on couldn't launch the tenders to go to the island because the weather was too bad.

That one 727 looks similar to Dan Air!

Good spot! I assume you mean the B731 in the first picture. That was indeed leased on a short term basis from Dan Air in 1983/84. The B732 is one of 2 ex-Air Florida machines, N271AF and N272AF, operated by Cayman Airways from 1981 to 1989 when B734's were acquired.

Thanks! Yes, and also the first picture in the thread in the "1980"s the 721 at the top?

Real tomato ketchup Eddie?
Nothing but the best! "I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?"
"you're the gourmet around here, Ed!"
