Question In Flight Model Sales?

I remember as a youngster on a family holiday we bought a British Airways 737 model (Wooster perhaps?) whilst on a flight from Gatwick to Faro.

On the 3 or 4 flights I've taken in the last 2 years I haven't noticed models (or any other airline branded souvenirs) advertised in catalogues on board any more, only the usual duty free perfumes etc.

Do some airlines still sell models in flight? Or has this practice generally been stopped as in-flight retail sales have dropped?

If you want in-flight sales nowadays you have to fly long haul. Sales on short haul stopped when duty free ended in the EU

It might be worth checking airlines' websites to see if they have a 'shop' section.
I recently looked at the TAP website and in their 'shop' found an Aeroclassics TAP DC-4 CS-TSA. It was a reasonable price although the shipping cost put the price up of course.
I've never flown on TAP, long or shorthaul, so I have no idea if they carry models on board.

Only Long haul now perhaps? I haven't seen any duty free from Canada>USA & vice versa. Is Emirates the only airline who sells in-flight 1:400 diecast models? Last I heard Etihad and ANA were 1:500... I think the Air canada 787 are also 1:500

Alaska Airlines sells models through their online shop. Actually, they sell a lot of really great stuff in their shop: Alaska Airlines Company Store

BA no longer sell models on their long haul flights. Disappointing, since over the years I bought several models on board.
