What is up to the recent liveries? American Airlines, Iberia, Frontier, Latam...and now Qantas. I miss the old classic iconic ones.

Probably...it's like getting used to the new music. But you prefer the oldies because they make much more sense.

The 'Roo looks less and less like a kangaroo...maybe they should just change the symbol to a boomerang.

Well there's a bit of heritage, the flying Kangaroo is right below the flight deck windows. That's all I like about it.

Hmmmm. I don't know, I watched the painting video many times. I hope it grows on me eventually.
Fifth bullet entry- "Adding the kangaroo to the inside curved edge of the wingtips so that they are visible in-flight and meaning they will also appear in pictures people take out the aircraft windows"
On the A330 winglets, yes; but how will they do that or how will that look on the curved edge of a 787 wingtips? The very aircraft that they are promoting this new livery?
I wonder who will come out first with this new livery in 1/200?

Apparently designs are tending to be more 'minimalistic', maybe designers are just getting lazier, too much 420.

A refreshing, modern touch for the Flying Kangaroo.

The silver band is a nice touch but the iconic symbol of Qantas (and Australia), the kangaroo is hardly recognizable anymore. It lost its front paws totally now and looks like a white smudge on the tail. Sad.

Yeah, now it "suggests" an eagle. I guess.

I don't like it at all period. It's horrible to look at!!
The new logo looks more like some flying bat, not a kangaroo... my favorite logo is still the classic kangaroo logo with the wings...

Not sure about the tail roo not having front arms/legs? Belly logo OK. I'm not so sure this change was really necessary? It looked fine the way it was. Why not do what Aeromexico did? Have something fancy for the first B787. You don't need to change the whole fleet?

Rumours state it's inspired by a design first mooted when Qantas took over Australian Airlines back in the 1990s. A way of bringing the logos of both airlines together.
