I'm a member of many ocean liner and cruise ship forums. So I love ships. The Disney cruise ships are some of my favorites. Very classic ocean liner lines.

Did you know the yellow trim on Disney cruise ships are the color of Mickey Mouse's shoes. They had to get special permission from the Coast Gaurd to paint the lifeboats this color.

That's one cruise I would love to give a try, Disney Alaskan. Also it
Would be cool to sail on Cunard Line, QE2 or QM2. At the same time I have to admit ships kinda freak me out.

QE2 was retired to a tourist ship in Dubai. However there is now a QE3.

..... I watched a program on the Disney Magic. Though I miss being at sea I don't think I could handle the Disney everything 24/7 that seems to go on these cruises. The Norwegian Breakaway would settle me more. Still, being aboard a working ship would be the most interesting for me (not to be crew, but just see it operate).
Dave (my days at sea began as a teen on trawlers out of Halifax in the 60s)

I have just finished scanning about 300 slides of ships of all varieties from large cruise liners to as small as a pilot boat. That's not counting many hundreds of naval vessels (sadly many lost from deteriorating Ektachrome )

While I like the Disney ships, all too big for me. I'm going on a cruise in October on a smaller 700 passenger cruise ship. A lot more relaxing. We are cruising to Cuba.

With Fathom Cruises ? Seen them in Miami when we left for our TA cruise eastbound with AIDA. Usually using them, only once we tried QM2, which was nice as well.

Nice pic abv, though I personally dont like these modern and coloured ships. More a fan of classics, like QE2, Norway, Deutschland etc.

(I am very thankful to him for this wonderful picture) and was downloaded from airliners.net ! It is not owned by me nor do I have copyright, but what makes a good shot even more popular than letting everyone see it ?!

Yes, Fathom Cruise. I too am a fan of classic ocean liners. QM2 is the last of the classic oven liners.

That Looks classic, doesnt it ? Was a nice ride last year with QM2, nice ship. Would anyday though prefer the QE2, she was the one and only Queen.

Are you going on Cruises often ? We had I think 13 or 14 so far, we would like to try Princess but not sure how it is...

That's a great suggestion. But, I am planning to take the clan to Disney World next year. Funny thing is that I've been to Florida (Miami, Orlando, Melbourne, Tampa, etc.) about 6 times and have never had the pleasure to visit Disney World. Looks like I finally have a great reason to visit Disney World for the first time. Cheers! T7 ( I prefer just doing the 'couple' thing on a cruise, and having some alone time with the wife for a few days )
