I ordered an airplane model just last week, and it's shipping from the US to Canada. I check the tracking status everyday and here's what it looked like on Canada Post yesterday:

What does "ITEM ON HOLD TO VERTIFY RECEPTENTS ADDRESS" mean? I put the latest status of my package in bold. Does anyone know what that means? Has anyone have this problem? If this is bad, what should I do?
Guess what? I contacted them by phone, and they say since my order was from the us, they classified it as an international package, and were unable to tell me any thing about it. I also tried to type them a service ticket, and since it was an international order, I couldn't issue a service ticket. I'm starting to hate Canada Post. >
since this is the first time I've ever encountered this issue, I just got a few more questions.

This why i refuse to use Canada Post. I have shipments from the USA with tracking once it gets to Canada Post they will put a Canadian tracking number to it. The hold up is normally customs clearing the parcel. If you have the US tracking Canada Post should be able to help. Good Luck.

Wait until Tuesday and see what the status is after the holiday. It is probably inside Gateway and will pop out The tracking number used is common between usps and cp and is in the form of CJ0123456789 US.
Both tracking systems in theory talk but if volumes are high, often dont but you can check both sides yourself.
Delivery to the 'door' is a whole other can of worms. Likely answer is no as duty has to be paid, so it is off the the local post orifice when it shows up.
I don't live in Canada but I hope everything works out with your package! It seems to me that the Canada post or Customs need some serious a** whooping...

The item cleared customs so this is not a customs issue. I have had many, many items come from the US through Canada Post over the years. I've only ever had one serious issue. My guess is the address label may have become compromised, perhaps smudged or torn, which has rendered the postal code unreadable. Or the postal code isn't correct. They may have to take time to confirm the address and postal code. These are just guesses. I'd give them more time to work on it. When you checked the tracking, usually it gives the destination location or post office. Was that correct?

The model is apparently still in Mississauga. (I live in a smallish town called Georgetown) I don't know why it's been there for a couple days... I mean, you could drive form Georgetown to Mississauga in about 25 minutes!
I ordered a package from Florida. It was in Toronto Saturday.
Just checked hoping it would be delivered today
It is now in customs in Saskatchewan.
Why not Toronto customs ?
As it has a USPS tracking number Canada post can't help.

Canada Post gave you a load of BS. A U.S. tracking number is traceable in Canada. That's the whole idea of a tracking number. As for the parcel that is in question, it seems as though Canada Post lost it, the parcel was damaged or the address on the label itself is not recognized.
Canada Post is going through some major downsizing now meaning lots of overworked employees and a huge backlog of mail. Expect more of this in the future.

Man, what the heck?! Screw Canada Post! I suspect that the shipping label is damaged or something. Now my chances of getting my first special livery model is down to... 10%.
I just checked the status, and it was still at "incorrect address" thing. so would I get a key to unlock the big box in the neighbourhood's p.o. box, or a notice hanging on my doorknob?
Well they cannot deliver properly within Canada. This parcel should have been delivered on Tuesday. Now they apparently tried to deliver it yesterday at 10:32 put as no answer funny when there was somebody home. Canada Post you are pathetic. Miss processed and I live 10 minutes for the delivery sorting station for me.

The issue, as told to me by one very busy union member if HE/they are too busy or duty of any kind is due, or if they are to busy, they just leave the notice, usually at the superbox if you have toi deal with those. This gentleman, who did I say told me he was very busy, also told me he couldnt deliver to my front door as it is a grass walkway and thus a slip and fall hazard. It was a sunny CAVU day.
I have an open service ticket on deliveries because we too often have somebody home and get the nobody at the house notice.
I found out that Canada Post shipped my order back to airlinemuseum.com's warehouse. I suspect that it was a shipping label damage, or something like that. So I asked them to ship it to me for free, and I'm still waiting for a reply in my e-mail.
