I cannot believe I forgot the show that "saved my life"
Mr. Bean
In 1993, I was sick in the Hospital with a bad ulcer and was not doing well, put TV on and happened across Mind the Baby Mr. Bean. I laughed so much, I started feeling better so I figured Mr. Bean saved my life

Real tomato ketchup Eddie?
Nothing but the best! "I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?"
"you're the gourmet around here, Ed!"
Been watching Cops now for over 25 years. Used to also watch Americas Most Wanted which used to be on right after it. I remember we were in Florida when the host, John Walsh, had Ads up looking for his Son.
That was such a sad tragedy.

Mostly a movie buff myself, but the occasional TV show piques my interest (although I hate commercials so much I avoid most TV except Netflix or Hulu Plus). Best of the last few years:
Breaking Bad
The Walking Dead
Game of Thrones
House of Cards (both versions)
Downton Abbey
American Horror Story
Plus anything Star Trek (except ST: Enterprise...just lame)

Lost, 24, Prison Break, Breaking Bad, Dexter, Weeds, House of Cards (U.S./Netflix version), Suits, The Americans, Satisfaction, Modern Marvels, Man vs. Wild, Impractical Jokers...
Looking forward to new seasons of many of these shows this year. Maybe I'll find something good to watch on Netflix later today. Might rewatch the House of Cards seasons in anticipation of season 3 next month.
Anyone watch "Manhattan" or "Granite Flats"? They look intriguing and have good reviews.
I grew up watching the original Hawaii 5-0, Gilligan's Island, The Mod Squad, Mannix, Banacek, Lost in Space. I now watch The Walking Dead, Cops, Big Bang Theory, Jeopardy, David Letterman and NHL Hockey.

Some have reached waaay back. Childhood favorites of mine:
The Rifleman
The Rat Patrol
Twilight Zone
The Outer Limits
Lassie
The Munsters
Later: Almost anything popular during the late '60s through 1980, especially Green Acres, I Dream of Jeanie, The Rockford Files, Adam-12, Emergency!, Battlestar Galactica (but not Galactica '80), Mork & Mindy and Happy Days to name a few. Those were good TV times for me.

Ah yes, The Last Ship is fantastic. I forgot to put it on my list. I'm eagerly anticipating season 2, especially after the cliff hanger!
I lost interest in The Strain after 4 or 5 episodes.
The Strain started getting good around episode 6. Guillermo del Toro will be more hands on in season 2 direction and production. Even he had some criticism of the first season. He was tied up with another movie project during season one, but for season two he will devote full time effort.
