Smile Funny Scene from the movie "Planes"

So i was watching Planes and there was that scene where The main character was saying to a "777" plane who was wearing the new American Airlines livery, that its livery was very cool.
maybe as many people didn't like the new livery ,the airlines try to help it by introducing it in a movie

Eh, still don't like it. Unimaginative with a inverted logo (*ahem* Flight symbol) more or less stolen from early 1970s United...

I wonder how much American paid for that...

I haven't seen the movie but I'm pretty sure the 777's name is Tripp, surely named after Juan Trippe.

Don't get Icarus started on this... I think he took the livery changes the worst... Theres nothing like the legendary polished metal with red, white, and blue cheatline... I had the pleasure of watching an MD-80 with the old livery on final at IAH, just a few days ago...

Why would an American Airlines plane be named after Pan Am's Juan Trippe? I think it was Tripp after Triple Seven.

I have to agree with gospodin on this. 'Tripp' would be the nickname for a Triple Seven.

However, if this movie had a classic B747-100 with the Pan Am livery. That cartoon character would certainly have been called 'Juan' or 'JT'; who many years back pushed hard for the B747 from Boeing. Cheers! T7

I think any airplane lover would like the movie just because there are airplanes. Not the greatest story, but i had fun watching it.
