My mother keeps talking about that film. She seems really interested in seeing it. I think it might be worth a watch, especially as it involves Leonardo DiCaprio operating outside what I observe his comfort zone for eras he portrays in film (which is 1910s - 1960s).

I believe it is set in the 1980's and progresses to the 21st century. So DiCaprio is out of his comfort zone as you mention.

DiCaprio was on NPR (National Public Radio) this morning talking about the film.. it's based on a true story. Sounds like it's definitely not for children, i.e., it's probably a good movie

DiCaprio and Scorsese also worked together on the The Departed a few years ago. That was loosely based on a true story about an Irish gangster in NY, and, I believe won several accolades.

Please let us know how you like Wolf, as I will probably go see it myself too..

A big part of the controversy over the film is apparently based on the heavy drug use that apparently occurred at the place and time. Hardly surprising considering the unofficial motto of the 1980s in the US was:

Lots of nudity, so well worth watching.

Very x-rated. Not the kind of thing you want to take your mother to...

It is set in Boston. The two cities you had to mix up...

Yeah, I suppose, but she'd likely still like it.

Of course, if not, I guess I can always wait till it's on Netflix in the year 2110.

Good movie. A lot of nudity, drug use, very strong language and sex scenes etc. Good length movie, get what you pay for. Surprisingly Hill and DiCaprio work well together.

8.5/10

Another movie I found equally as good was 12 Years a Slave by Steven McQueen. Very heavy movie that one though.

Real tomato ketchup Eddie?
Nothing but the best! "I don't know why they call this stuff hamburger helper. It does just fine by itself, huh? I like it better than tuna helper myself, don't you, Clark?"

Gravity was also a good movie. Not as good as TWoWS IMO though.

Another movie I want to see. I enjoy Chiwetel Ejiofor's work, he made a great bad guy in "Serenity".
