Default Emirates Store London

Today I visited the Emirates Aviation Experience at North Greenwich where they have opened an official store with most of the EK merchandise that is available in Dubai is also sold here. In models they had the GJ 1/200 A380 for £109 and the 777-300 for £69 as well as the same models in 1/400 scale for around £26 each and the 1/250 A380 for £15.

Yes, just what we need a cheap coffee mug, mouse pad, canvas bag, or stuffed bear all marked up 300% because the emirates logo is on it. I see the same junk at the Boeing Store and every tourist trap shop in the world, only the silk screen logo is changed.

A few years back, I managed to purchase two building models that were part of a series for Emirates Airlines featuring the major traditional architectural form of the Emirates. Put me down for one of those baseball hats.

I agree with both QFA388 and crownvic; I will purchase the Emirates Barbie doll for my daughter. I found the Emirates flight attendants very pleasant and really took care of my 9 month (at the time of our 1st flight on Emirates) old daughter and wife. My daughter is now getting into the Barbie phase = so this would be an awesome gift for her upcoming birthday. I think the wifey may also want one too! hee hee!

Thank you, Moin for bringing this to my attention/radar. Cheers! T7

Yes, I've noticed those buildings cropping up quite frequently on eBay, in fact, I think there are some on there at present. I can understand why people go for them, they look pretty good.

It's special when Emirates and other airlines commission artists and sculptors to create heritage pieces.

Absolutely, its proven that airline-branded merchandise SELLS. Because people still associated airline with Luxuriant, glamour & want to own at least, a piece of it.

I wish my home carrier would've done the same

For those going nuts over the EK branding and how expensive it is, it isn't like we don't have PAA bags and Aeroflot bags, and I'm talking about reproductions made like 5-10 years ago that were selling for $150+, especially in Japan, where I understand they were really considered stylish to have around! And they too, were likely made in the PRC!

I'm personally not much of an EK guy myself, and don't really care much for them. But I'm sure some hardcore EK fans will at least be able to sorta get their EK fix and such.

Yeah, I'm aware. I'm just pointing out that pricy airline branded memorabilia like that is far from anything new with two better known examples in the last couple years.

I went to the Cathay city corporate store a few times. Its much smaller than the emirates store. And certainly not as lavish looking as this EK store.

Haha, that's remarkable!...my girlfriend wants me to keep as far away from anything to do with Emirates flight attendants as possible, so I can't even begin to think of what she'd do if I came home one day with an "Emirates Barbie"...

Oh, and I can just see the Emirates Store signboard: ..."Emirates Store: Sponsored By Gemini Jets"!
