Default SFO Airport Books

Dear fellow collectors,

Does anyone of you know about books dealing with the (his)story of San Francisco International Airport? Doesn't matter if they are older or of recent issue date. Maybe "regular" books with an EAN number or hobby-related book releases (just like the Atlanta Hartsfield Airport book by George W. Clearly available through Just Plane Crazy or the Aviation Hobby Shop).

Would appreciate your input. Thanks much in advance.

1) SFO A Pictorial History of the Airport - SFO a pictorial history of the airport - AbeBooks

2) Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, International Terminal, San Francisco International Airport: Opus 64 (Hardcover)
Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, International Terminal, San Francisco International Airport: Opus 64: Anne-Catrin Schultz: 9783932565649: Amazon.com: Books

You can find both books on Amazon or at Abebooks. Check both sites for prices as there are multiple books available from bookstores around the country. I attached a SFO diagram from the book, Compleat Air Traveller (1973).

Hi Fazeman,

Thanks much for your initial hints.

I already located the books and ordered them. What's that "Compleat Air Traveller" issue?! A magazine? An annual book release? Looks interesting.

Anyone here working at SFO? I am interested in any items featuring the "SFO - Good to Go" logo.

The Compleat Air Traveller is an 80 page softcover annual that was composed mainly of persons who traveled frenquently by air and the editor was an active captain. Published and distrubuted from Dallas, Tx. for the Airline Passenger Association, I believe this 1973 edition was the first year it was published. There are two letters on the inside cover from the APA and Flight Magazine thanking the publication for compiling such a complete and necessary annual with concise information that wasn't previously available.

I sent you a pm regarding two more books.
