Default 1st stage....

well guys this will be one my first attempt in the customization...
This would be going to be PAL 777 and my donor plane is by hogan. The other one would be also PAL 747-4
I already cleaned and removed some of the decals of the plane using my wife's nail polish remover but it also removed the clear coat so i will be sanding it and priming it to give it a smooth surface again.
I also got some decals prep by Ben.
so if you guys have any suggestions for a newbie please chime in.

so here is some pics of the 1st stage...

1. congrats on the new venture.
2. are you planning to retain those cabin doors+windows? if yes, then i would never recommend sanding. alternatively its better to strip off everything using the nail paint remover ONLY and prime+paint it white.
3. lastly from the looks of it, I think the donor is an AF B773ER. if so, then please paint the rear hor. stabs grey as they are white on the donor but, L. Grey on the PAL.

* - guess a more apt donor would have been the EVA Air B773ER by Hogan, and to top it all it would have costed pretty much the same as AF, although it invloved more stripping work than on the AF, but that shouldnt have been a problem since you would paint it white. just my 2 cents worth...

@ Karun..thanks for the input, yeah i was going to get the Eva air as it was suggested before because its of the correct engine and all, ...well eva air was sold out at my local aviation hobby shop....AF was readily available and it has the correct engine and all it has a good base for the PAL.. yeah i know about the rear so i have to paint that as well

so heres my toss up with paints either i can go with tamiya spray paints or i can just go my local hardware/automotive store and get spray paints for plastics ,,,,i think they would be cheaper than model spray paints....

Glad you're off to a start! I would recommend completely stripping and priming the fuselage and tail. The Decals include doors anyways with the titles all positioned on them. Just easier and will look much better.

You guys make it look so simple. I'd love to touch up a couple of the B773ERs I own! However if using customs I'd prefer to use the Risesoon B773ERs, the engines on those are super!

@Bill-ay thanks...someday i might try working on hasegawa models
@1:200Freak...although skymarks/risesoon models are getting better especially their 777 moulds there are still some fine details that hogans have over skymarks ie landing gears
