Hi Mike!!!!!!

No not done yet......Still waiting on reg# N536US and some other decals for her.

Yea, maybe I will fix that silver edge on the tail. What it is I went with the resin tail that is correct but a tad thick at the leading edge. I will trim the silver a tad to remedy that issue. ....keen eye Mike.....The Minicraft tail is way too short and angles up too much. Thier are other things that need to be worked on as well. In person this 757-251 smokes

Yea, I like the window shades too.....

If you look real close you can see a girl and a guy making out.

Hi Bil-ay,

The epoxy works well with all the resin builds that don't have tabs for inserts. Gotta have a good dry fit first.

Still have more on this build!!!!

Let's REALLY put him to the test ... let's see him "shrink" a Saul Bass UAL 747SP to 1/100th scale with full flaps down and spoilers up and thrust reversers on those JT9Ds extended ...

Brad you KNOW I'm kidding ... or am I?

When she's all done I will take photos outside in better light for you. The windows are not clear--see through.

Brad, nice model there! I've scrapped the idea of renovating the Sasquatch 757 with the same United decals. Instead, I converted another Wooster 757 model into United colors and took a look at both Sasquatch molds and thought it would be best again to mold them into one -300 series 757. Other than the 757, I got a chance to cut two Hasegawa 767s into a -400 series yesterday. I went to the airliner collectible show in Miami Saturday and got a 767 that I was able to use. the only tough choice I thought of was either Continental or the Delta 1997 scheme. Anyway, again nice model of that Delta 757!

Not a bad idea...

I'm thinking of working on a Skymarks 757 or a Herpa/wooster one day soon. I think the Skymarks are 1/150 scale...kinda of a odd ball scale. That battleship grey would be one bad *** 757!!!!

Anyway waiting on some decals to finish this Delta 757. Gotta get it just right looking for my taste.

Then outdoors for the final photo shoot of her.

Regards,
Brad

Now you've got me thinking about the 1/100th 747SP ... how would you do that? Would you modify a Nitto/Entex 747-100 model or is there some kind of conversion kit to modify into SP configuration?

Or would you scratch-build the mod? Just curious ... I would love a 1/200th SP at the very least ... sorry for all the questions but obviously I'm thinking about the concept at least!

Hi Bill-ay, how's that Aeroflot 767 coming along? About the 747SP, not sure who makes a conversion fuselage for a 1/100 or 1/144 but Sasquatch came out with a 1/200 conversion piece for Hasegawa models 747s. I still have the Sasquatch 757 models and it looks good that I can take the two and mold them into a 757-300, prbably this weekend. Since we have the Delta 757 topic, I thought I would ask something, what if the tail scheme, livery and blue engines was kept, but instead of having a dark blue bottom, have a red/blue stripe across the windows similar to that of the 1997 scheme with a bare-metal bottom? How would that sound? Just curious. I just like stripe schemes rather than having a white/blue fuselage.

Good job and I,m considering doing UAL Tristar in battleship colours if someone can make a larger pic of the one posted in here in the what if section .
Will have to scrounge around for decals , so if anyone has any that will work let me know .
Might take a month or two before it's completed.

Hm.....Not sure. Welsh models made a nice 1/144 747sp. Platz makes a very nice 1/200 747sp (if you can find one). In 1/100 the donor kit would really have to be modified to the max. I even think the SP had a diff wing/flap configuration too. Maybe a 1/100 wooster or a Atlantic models donor type.

It...can be be done !!!!!!

It seems to be the trend now with the bottoms painted like the Delta livery. I like your idea of the stripes and bare metal under the cheatline. Sorta Retro.....Maybe the blue and the two red shades for stripes! Then the bare metal bottom.

Hi Frontier!!!!!

Yes...I had to have N536US custom made decals made for her....(N536US is the Northwest gemini 200 757). Should arrive in the mail soon. Plus a couple other tricks to add to her too.

Regards,
Brad

Thanks Brad for the recommendations ... I looked up the Platz model on their Japanese website and the resin kit looks cool ... too bad I don't read Japanese!

Might keep this kit on my "radar screen" for future reference ... thanks for the heads up!

Man ... words just don't do your 'art' justice ... every time I look at your finished models, the first two words that come to mind are ... "that's sick!" ... I would love to commission you to build a model for me some time in the not-too-distant future, so let me think about what I might "dream up" ... in the meantime, keep practicing on other customers so that by the time I call upon you, you'll be better prepared ...

Here's one of my all-time faves ... the 707-320 in TWA twin-globe markings!

Delta 757 looks great! I'm looking forward as I mentioned earlier to work on the Eastern 757-300 and the 767-400 conversion. I'm sure you saw my recent message that I was not able to get the United 757 from Sasquatch uploaded, because the resolution was too high since it was photographed on dark pavement. Not too long ago, I saw a former Northwest 757-300 in Delta's new color at Ft. Lauderdale airport and also in Orlando last November. Very impressive to see the the stretch -300 in Delta colors. Again, great work!

"Holy sh_t!" were the first words out of my mouth when I enlarged these pics ... you just keep raising the bar higher with each build Brad ... it's amazing what the human spirit can accomplish isn't it?

Indeed ... I'm green with envy ... I'm going to have to think hard about a commission from you some day ... and for some reason a 1/144th 747SP keeps coming to mind ...

Love this angle ... BTW ... I'll bet you enjoyed those double-slotted flaps!

Oh come on, it should be an easy decision! Do it already! Skip out on a few factory produced releases for a month or two, and add a true piece of craftsmanship to your collection from Master Shinn. You won't regret it. I've got Brad's KLM 747 sitting on the desk right next to me, and she agrees.

(Okay Brad, how's that for advertisement? Do I get a free model from you yet?)

I'll do it RIGHT AWAY if he can build one in 1/68th scale ... being of Asian descent we prefer sixes and eights in our numeration ... how 'bout it Brad?

All right ... one other option ... 1/88th scale!

Not as bad as those B727's or B737-200's!!! Still those B747-SP's have a very strange flap arrangement.

How about a 1/144 A330-300 all flexed out on a short final. Wings flexed, gear hanging, flaps/slats set at 30-35 on a cool stand?

I have some work ahead of me....Thanks guys for all the support!
