most 727 donors are diecast and quite expensive. maybe flight miniatures has one...but thats a great idea! i guess i could build a hasegawa one.

Yeah, I've always thought that Hasegawa's 727-200 kit was great...very accurate (especially for its time) and an easy build. It really makes me wonder why we can have such a nice kit in the 1980s, yet kits 20 years later are still plagued with various errors in accuracy...even from model giants like Revell. This is why Kurt Lehmann is a god

Anyway, it's always great getting to see the work that you do. Can't wait to see more!

Kurt is the mastermind behind some of the most accurate airliner kits I've ever seen. Granted they are 1:144, resin, and rather expensive due to the cost of making the kits, but the accuracy and detail of the kits are incredible. He runs a website, Authentic Airliners, to sell his kits, but he has also recently collaborated with Flying Fish Models to re-release his original 727-200 kit with some improvements.

alclad will change your world! lol. you will need a tamiya TS-14 black spray as a "primer" too otherwise the chrome wont work as well.

leading edges are BareMetal Foil by Microscale in matte aluminum (though its not very matte haha)

Yes, FM makes a very nice 727, No gear or Reg. # or anything out of the ordinary, but I'm sure you'll want to deal with all that anyway... Basically, I think it's a nice mould.

How did you see that at LHR when its 777D? They only use it on Japanese domestic route.
