Basically this is a quite ordinary model made from an Hasegawa model kit.
I improved the model with Pitot tubes, taxi lights on the nose gear, a few drain masts and a tail skid.
Other details were added with home made decals to complement those available from F-DCAL.
To avoid the silvering effect that we often experience when using clear decals, the originals that had to be applied on the white parts of the model were printed on a white decal.
Whenever possible, it is a very good alternative to decals printed on clear background.
There is practically no difference between the white of the decals and the white paint (Tamyia Pure White TS 26), furthermore the edges of the decals are almost unnoticeable.
For the coroguard, I simply used Gray Primer from Tamyia, not bad ...
I was disappointed with coroguard decals available from Flying Colors, they reacted negatively to Micro Sol product.
Of course, my model does 't have the ambition to compete with the perfect finish of the products made by our mainstream manufacturers, all I wanted was something good enough, able to sustain comparison with some of my snap fit Hogan models and fill a gap in my AF fleet.
