I’m undecided whether to make this UK regional which operated out of Newcastle airport. Stage 1 of decal creation for this ATR 72-200 IS complete.
Founded in 1969 by Michael Gill, the airline originally operated as Gill Aviation, mainly providing cargo and mail flights for various companies including the British Royal Mail. Following the acquisition of passenger aircraft in June 1989, the airline changed its name to Gill Air. The arrival of Fokker 100 aircraft in 1995 resulted in the airline entering into a codeshare agreement with Air France between Newcastle upon Tyne and Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport. The title of Gill Airways was adopted in 1995, to reflect the growing importance of passenger operations to the airline. Ceased trading in Sept 2001.

Great subject to do Mike, I flew Gill positioning between Manchester and Newcastle in the 90's, I think it was on the Shorts 330, are you taking orders?

I agree would be great to see that done. I remember seeing this a few times at LGW's in the mid-1990's...along with their single ATR-42 in this c/s, and the Aer Lingus hybrid SD-360's. If you do take orders here's a +1

After doing the decals seems only right to do model

Gill's last scheme was particularly nice and suited the ATR. I doubt any maker would ever consider doing it.

I really want it. But without the logo of 30 years for me... I flew it in 1997 :P
