Default Good printer for custom decals?

I want to buy a good laser printer for printing custom decals. Inkjets are good but produces thicker decals after coating.

Can someone suggest models if they have used one.

Or know what the professional laser decal make use.

Budget is around $300 for used one.

I was leaning towards

Cannon MF634Cdw All-in-One, Wireless, Duplex Laser Printer
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERFvxlC5cho

OR
OKI Data C332dn Review
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABngtK5KKAc

Thanks in advance

I find inkjet is fine Use Epson but has to have original ink.
Always thought Dye Sublimation was best for decals eg the old ALPS ones.

I have high quality cannon inkjet photo printer, but here are the issues that i face.
  1. I get spells for making customs. When I do, i find out that print head has dried up. Or the ink is running low. And the cost of ink is very high. (Another topic that printer ink is big scam)
  2. Most of the decals are for Hasegawa mold. Sometimes i use G200/JCwings or now IF200 mold. I find it annoying that after laying down decals they overlap and create a dark joint. For that reason i want to print wireframe lines for each mold and then adjust ordered decal with a reprint.
  3. Other then V1 decal, who offers second set for 50%, it would be really nice to have second decal sheet if you make mistake
  4. I used decals from F-DCAL and his decals are super fine with nice vibrant color. His site lists that he uses laser printer and hence me leaning towards laser printer.
  5. I play in photoshop and using FSX repaints, you would get nice open/close shaded windows. Not to mention that most liveries are available if you want to play around. That would require print/test/print again/test again, since they need curve adjustment.
  6. If i can reach nirvana by printing under belly, that would be nice. No more air brushing. Its really pain to make curves and my masking skills are way underwater.

Thanks for the encouraging word but I have almost OCD for perfection and I am not really happy with above work. And hence my quest to search for printer

They look nice on the display, but the moment i take good quality pictures, all the imperfections shows up.

If I could get results half that good, I'd be happy as a pig in mud. Nice work, but I get your need for perfection, and you will probably never be completely happy with your creations, but believe me, your work is outstanding. Doug

This was my most complex - took ages searching for correct logos and fonts.

had to compromise size and not quite matched to windows.
Epson CMYK printer and Experts Choice no121 Decal Paper which isn't too thick and gives consistent results.
Microsccale Liquid Decal film to seal and top coat of Humbrol Clear glass.

Looks nice. Searching for fonts can be troublesome. This site helped me to make Air France titles.. https://www.myfonts.com/

Your Epson is inkjet printer?

I have tried Tester's inkjet decal paper and then coating that with testor's decal bonding spray. Maybe i might be overdoing it, but mine comes out thicker, after 2 coats.

I think its what you are comfortable with. It's just the Experts Choice paper isn't too thick and takes Epson Inkjet Ink well (they do Laser as well). But other's may have different preferences.

I have just refined what I do over time particularly getting color accuracy on printing.
