Default Braniff JellyBean Concorde 1:200

1:200 Braniff Jellybean Concorde in Ochre.

Inspiration came from a picture of a Concorde model display by Bae at a major air salon (Paris?), showing model Concordes in all the liveries ordered.

So finally after 3 months gestation I have finished my Braniff Yellow Ochre Concorde.
This has been my worst Custom to execute. From working out the actual color. Used RAL code for Ochre and a Paint Shop. Then finding its Cellulose not Acrylic. To Spraying/Rubbing down/T-cut - multiple times to get a half decent finish. And then dealing with paint chips and finally decals that didn't work (Draw Decal) and redecalling with F-DCAL and Customs scanned and resized from a 144 Boeing 707 Braniff Decal set I had.
Still has annoying blemishes but its signed off now. Hope you like it.

that is a superbly executed livery! I've always loved Branniff's contradictory (and therefore contemporary) appearance.
I wonder if Concorde would have been able to fly supersonic with a dark shaded livery and black nose since the aircraft was certified only to fly Mach 2 with a white fuselage.
The exception was the 1996 Pepsi billboard livery, where the speed was limited to Mach 1.7 ;-)

cheers, VJ

Thank you for your kind comments.

I would love to do a set of Jellybeans but have other concordes to do first.
With the paint it was always stated white due to skin temperature.

But nowadays I supect it could have been done with updated paint technology.

and look at military gray flying similar speeds?
