Default 1:200 Thomson 757

Little show and tell.

Working on a custom 757, not had much experience with custom models but I am handy with paint. Apologies for the picture quality.

Will add more pics as soon as I progress further. Have plans to expand the fleet. Keep your eyes open for more customs.

Ok then just need to add the clear coat and the top antenna but that’s her pretty much done.

Thanks for the kind comments, means a lot.

What's your procedure for clearing without getting runs/orange peel etc.?

Looks effin' sweet.

Thanks Tony. For clear coat just apply thin coats. You only need to protect the decals, nothing more. Orange peel is not a factor if you just apply thin even coats. Once dry between coats I will generally rub down the model with paper to clear any rough areas.
Main thing is take your time mate.

Wish me luck, I will be attempting a TUI 757 next. That wave is going to be a total @#£& to do right.

Sounds great. And good luck with the 757. Judging by this bird, you will do fine with the TUI. Keep us posted.

Great work! Did you mention what model you used as a donor?

Good point, i bought a badly done custom model on the cheap, very roughly painted with a brush and no clear coat used on the decals, took a while to clean it up. i think it was originally a JC blank.

cheers for the kind words.
