Default Custom HEMS unit AW109SP

Hi
Thank you for letting me join your forum.
I am a Critical Care Paramedic based in the UK flying on Helimed54 (Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland) Air Ambulance for The Air Ambulance Service.
We currently operate 2 x AW109 helicopters (G-TAAS and G-HEMZ), but don't have any diecast desktop models!! Besides the crew wanting some for home offices, we'd like to look at selling some to the public to raise funds (we are a charity).
Unfortunately I'm not very knowledgeable on diecast models - which is why I thought i'd join here to see if anyone can help point me towards some manufactures, suggest prices etc?
Any help would be appreciated, sorry if this is in the incorrect forum.
Many thanks
Sam

Hi Sam,

I think the chief difficulty with this request is going to be finding who has a mould for the AW109. I had a look on DiMA to see if one had ever been produced, and there is one in 1:72 scale:

https://www.diecastmodelaircraft.com...aircraft=AW109

But I don't know if anyone here knows who Amercom is as a manufacturer. I've certainly never heard of them before.

EDIT: Well I found they have a website Amercom-hobby and they look to be based in Poland. Several retailers carry their products, so that might be another avenue for contacting them. I imagine that they would want a commitment to a certain number of units in order to produce a custom livery, but other diecast manufacturers have done similar things in the past. At least there is an existing mould - the current wisdom I've seen on here is that it costs about $10,000 - $20,000 to produce a new mould.

Welcome to the forum, Sam!
Regarding a model SP, AFAIK, no diecast model is out there and Piazzai Models' 1/32 plastic model which comes with the actual ship when the one is delivered is available as you know..?
If you don't stick to a model SP, I bet this 1/48 diecast model would be the best model E though there's the Chinese Police scheme only unfortunately. IMO, New Ray's model looks toyish to me. You can check the New Ray's model at https://www.diecastaircraftforum.com...r-as365n3.html
