Hi,

I want to start this thread and present my custom made models here and such that I had bought.
Although I called it Luftis I would like to present also models related to Lufthansa, such as VIVA air, Condor and other airlines.

Lufthansa 737-300 D-ABWH

Here I did only slight modifications. First I decided to remove the lufthansa.com, so that this model represents it's aircraft between 1998 and 2002 or in 2008.

Then I removed the Star Alliance Logo do presentation of the aircraft in 1994.

Lufthansa Cargo 737-300(SF) D-ABWS

Only a single plane of this aircraft type was operated by Lufthansa Cargo in the years between 1994 and 1997. This aircraft is today still in Service for Neptune Air (Reg. 9M-NEF).

The airline was founded in 1988 by Lufthansa and Iberia. Lufthansa sold it's shares of viva air in 1990 to Iberia.
I had bought the model on e-bay.

Lufthansa A300-600 D-AIAX

On this model I only removed the Star Alliance Logo, because this does not fit to the time when "Express" were painted onto some aircrafts.

The scratches in the cockpit windows and the Lufthansa-Logo had been already on the model, it was not from my modification work

The D-ABYF also called "Fritz" was delivered to Condor with three uppder deck windows on each side. This plane had been modified during it's service at Condor and got 10 upper deck windows then. The model represents the aircraft at about 1974.

The D-ABZF could be seen in this standard Lufthansa Cargo livery in 2002 after it's special livery "The Time Service Revolution" had been removed and before the WOW-logos were applied. The alternate name of this aircraft was "Africa"

There was a partnership between AirOne and Lufthansa from 2000 to 2009, where many flights of AirOne became code shared with Lufthansa.

Under good lighting conditions You can see the circle of removed Lufthansa Logo even on the model like it can be seen on the real aeroplane too ;-)

Great photos.

Got to admit I still far prefer the classic original Lufty scheme with the cheat-line.

For D-ABVE Soccer Nose, Did you buy the Netmodels 1:400, or did you make it yourself? Mine is also custom made. Where did you get your decals from and where did you find the original pictures to print onto the decal. I am in the process of making "Berlin 2000" on D-ABVA, and "The First real internet aboard" on D-ABTF

Hi,

yes, the "VE" "2006 World Cup Soccer Nose" is the one from Netmodels. I used decals from "shop DRAW decals". You net to select 1:400 rescaled decals from their website and so on. I know "Berlin 2000" decals for a 747-400 are available with one of the 1/200 747-400 Lufthansa kits. Recently I bought some decal paper for laser printer, but I still have no experience with custom decals.
