Here is my latest custom. (Please keep political opinions to yourself. This is all about the plane) Donor model is a Gemini Jets AA Oneworld. (I apologize to the AA collectors out there, but I needed RR engines and winglets) Decals are my Draw Decals and the paint is good old testors gloss black and white. Aluminum foil was used as needed. I am pleased with the results.





If you have ever considered doing a custom, I highly recommend it. It can be an enjoyable experience.

Thanks for the feedback guys.... Not taking orders, but it was pretty easy to do.
As for Nick's idea... Even at 1/10, the price of the gold plating would leave me in debt for many years!

Very nice work. The paint you used, was it spray or bush on? Also what if anything did you use to seal the decals?

Very nicely done. I used to see the real thing at LGA all the time. These days it seems to be more absent than present.

Thanks.... I stripped donor model after disassembly. Primed all parts after washing with soap and water. Then testors white and black both from can. Added decals and gloss from can. This is a pretty straight forward custom as you don't have to be super accurate with masking as the decals will hide any imperfections. I did airbrush the silver on the tail however, but could have done by hand if needed. If you are thinking about a custom, I highly recommend Draw Decals. Beian
