That's a pretty nice collection you have there. I like that Authentic Airliners Electra.

Where are those GSE from? I assume some are scratch-built, but some not.

Great work on these! The fact that you were able to mask off the cockpit windows so well, especially on the 377, is impressive. That can be very difficult to get right!

Very nice job.....I might mention that to complete the fleet you still need the CV240 & 990 and the L749 of AOA to go with the B377.

Neat fleet ! I love the old AA. Great job on all of them. Can you show a picture of them together, that would be awesome.

I notice you have a support under the Contrails DC-7. Is the resin model not balanced to sit on the nose properly?

Great models, but that is not correct. Revell and CMM (Czech Mini Master) have released DC-2s in several variants in 1:144 since 2005 (even one with American decals, including AA) The models have been released under the CMM brand and not Revell..

Douglas DC-2 - CMM - 1/144

Douglas DC-2 - Czech Master Resin /Minimaster - 1/144

Just go to their website:

CMR - Resin Models Catalogue

CMR144-006 - Douglas DC-2, in "U.S. Airline" service

Superb Steve...as always! However, why give yourself more work by building a Welsh Models vac-form DC-3 and Contrails resin DC-7, when there are good 1/144th kits of a DC-3 by Minicraft and DC-7 by Roden and Braz-Models in 1/144th scale?

I thought I was well versed on just about every airliner kit ever made, but this was a complete surprise to me! I will have to research these, thanks. Oh yeah, I forgot the 990, have one built just forgot about it.

I am a nitpicker when it comes to aircraft profile. The Welsh was spot on while the nose was a bit off on the Minicraft. The Roden kit is a DC-7C, don't know if there is an easy way or any way for that matter to convert to a "B" model. The fuselage would have to be shortened, the vertical stab cut down and the hardest part removing the saddlebacks from the engine pylons and shortening each wing. I did use the props and gear from the Roden kit on this one. I didn't know Bra-z made a DC-7. This Contrails kit made for one very miserable modeling experience.
