Default Weathering Models

I am all for the nice perfect condition of models. Working at the airport on a daily basis you really see the sun take a toll on the paint jobs. One example is the Spirit A320, with its brand new paint being faded away from the Vegas and Florida sun.

Is there any way of actually doing this fading design to already painted models? (ie.. Hogan)

Thanks, Josh.

I'm sure there are, but wouldn't it feel like it needs a permanent backdrop like that to look good? If it was in an indoor display environment the colours of the model would look weird.

Try airbrushing the effect, layer by layer with a slight highlight technique. Hard to say without an actual photo.
