For some years now I have been building up a little collection of Boeing SST desk top models in the style of the giveaway models made for Boeing in the 1960s. Builderscience have done a ggreat job in interpreting my sometimes inexact wishes.
My latest two are:
The Boeing 2707 from about 1967 in the USAF colours it was shown in in a number of magazines. I have opted to keep the windows and doors which were omitted in the artwork as I envisaged the aircraft as a C135 replacement. The SAC sash is to brighten the thing up and reflects the early C135 art.
The Boeing 733 from the early 60s is done in the same finish as the VIP C135s before the Kennedy era Air Force One scheme. This is somewhat fictititious as no illustrations were done of the 733 in military schemes, but it is the sort of speculative giveaway that may lurk somewhere in a Pentagon office or in a boot sale in Washington DC.
These are not intended to be as exact as modern models and I like them that way.
