Default F-dcal

Has anyone here ever ordered from F-DCAL? How long did it take for your decals to arrive?

I am asking these questions as my order from March 19th still hasn't arrived, and i am getting more and more worried that they might not show up at all.

They do take time but always deliver. Send an update email to Phillipe and you should definitely hear back from him.

I just heard from them: my order was shipped TODAY. More than a month after it was placed. I hope they were worth the wait.

Ok, i am just going to say this straight out: i have now used the set, or atleast started to use it, and i am very displeased. The decals are way to thick to work on smaller models, like in this case a 1/500 737-200, and the set that i was provided with was incorrect in the fact that it is for a passenger version with a fixed window line when the set listed on their site includes a QC version, the one i wanted, where the window line is a seperate piece.

These two issues which may seem small are to a noob like me huge problems. I had to remove 7 windows, leaving a very small strip of decal film over the titles to hold the door in place, which ofcourse made the door sit crooked to where it is supposed to be. And following the picture that came with the set made the window line and doors sit way to high. But in order for the two pieces of decal that meet under the tail to fit correctly the doors/windows have to sit to high up. So for now it seems that, if i want this model(which i do), i will have to do exactly what i hoped to avoid in the first place: spend a lot more money for an expert to do the job. Someone who has worked with F-DCAL before in this scale.

So after seeing what they are like to work with, i can say it right now that i will with almost 100% certainty that i will never use them again for a 1/500 model. And that is a real shame as they have a lot more models which i would like to add to my 1/500 fleet.
