Arrow Hasegawa Question

Hello again....

My first Hasegawa kit is in transit and I was wondering if you knew
what kind or type of glue I should be using? The last model I assembled was an AMT Ford Truck in the 70s. 1970s not 1870s . Will I need an Xacto knife too? The kit is an ANA B767-300W. What do I use to "coat" it after I put on the decals?

Jeff

Just use normal plastic modellers glue (Revell, Humbrol etc). You may need an exacto knife to help with extracting the model pieces from the sprue but a pair of pincers works just as well. Hasegawa models are beautifully made & very accurate in their dimensions (unlike some of equivalent sized die cast models out there) & go together very well with minimal gap filling. You could use an acrylic clear gloss (Tamiya or Gunze) as the final coat. Happy modelling!!!

Hello bigprop....Thank you VERY much for the information. It sounds as though you have done this before. I am wondering if I can get 'Tamiya or Gunze' here in the United States?

I have built quite a few of these lovely models & have a couple of dozen unbuilt ones stashed away in the shed waiting to be built but will probably end up on Ebay one day. Any good hobby shop will have the necessary stuff you need to complete your model.Have fun!
