I love those! Especially the MD-80.

Actually, the VC-10 seems quite possible in real life.

They should have had the VC-10 instead of the 707, much better aircraft and this looks fantastic

Hi guys,
Thanks for your comments...much appreciated. Yeah, I have made all these models myself, with several other Qantas "what ifs" in various stages of construction, including a 1:144th Qantas Cargo L-500 Galaxy, 1:144th Concorde, and 1:144th DC-10 30. My persoanl favourite is the Super VC-10, (a hybrid kit using the 1:144th Welsh Super VC-10 fuselage with Airfix bits for everything else).
I was fortunate enough to be able to study the proposal as put forward to Qantas by Vickers in the mid-60s. This extensive documented proposal centred around a fleet of 10-12 Super VC-10 "Combis", and was richly illustrated with artist impressions pics of the Super VC-10 in the classic Qantas "V-jet" scheme. Vickers were very creative in their pictorial concept presentations of the Qantas VC-10.....this included such additions as rego "VH-TEN", and even adding a small "c" to the large "V" in "V-jet", creating the modified tail logo of "Vc-jet" very clever indeed!!!. I would have loved the opportunity to have crewed a Qantas Super VC-10.

The " V Jet" colours look very smart on the VC-10 and really the only other scheme that would surpass would be the BOAC which made the VC10 in my eyes
Great job on the kit builds. I'm assuming they are Hawkeye and Roodecal compositions?
Things is with those mergers with Australian Airlines, Impulse and maybe if Compass Mach2 we might of seen variations like this though highely unlikely.

I personally think that QF today have the opportunity to decorate one of their 744's in a Flying Roo scheme. With all the repaints and reconfigs being adapted to the 747 fleet - a repaint could surely encompass such a livery.
But with the current status of the International operations and the recovery operation being done - again highly unlikely.

And some more from my collection, including a Pacmin MD-11, a GTrans International Concorde and two smaller 1:400 customs.

I'm still surprised that QF is not operating any 777s.
