I've been working on my ground foils today, and previously someone asked if I could make them downloadable. So the first one available for download later today will be the one pictured below. You will be able to download them from my website: Home - Skylite Design
It is not available yet, but will be by the end of the day (hopefully).
This specific foil is designed to fit the Boeing 737-300 perfectly, but can be used for anything smaller than that.
I will make downloads available with the gate numbers 1-15. If you need more than that or would like me to add letters or something else just PM or email me. Say you want the gate to be 1A then I can change it and send it too you. So here are the pictures.
Ground Foil 1 - Specifically Designed For Boeing 737-300 Aircraft
Again this is not up for download yet, but will be soon. I'll keep everyone updated through this thread.
I hope you all can use them, and enjoy them!

Hey fly Frontier. If I remember correct you were the one who asked for these to be downloadable. I will also be making general sizes that will fit multiple aircraft without being specifically designed for one aircraft type so they can be used more generally. But for now I've started with the Boeing 737-300.
Is there any specific aircraft you'd like me to fit one too? Assuming I have the aircraft lol. It makes it much easier to fit it perfectly if I have the aircraft in question.

I have a 767-200 I can fit them too, but I don't have a 300 or 400. I can do my best though to try and place the markings without them. Then after you. I'll do my best.

Eventually I plan to have specific foils made for most aircraft. So eventually I will have foils made for the 777s and 767s. I'll also make general wide body foils that can be used on any wide body aircraft.

I am working on this, but I'm having problems when it comes to actually moving it around. When I try to print it outside of the program I built it in it actually gets slightly bigger. Which then makes all the markings off.

Ok here is the first batch of foils as well as instructions on how to print them properly, and get them together.
The first set, as posted above is the set specifically designed for Boeing 737-300 aircraft, but can be used for anything smaller.
(Please be sure to read the instructions for printing before you attempt to print them. If printed wrong they will not fit as well as they should)
INSTRUCTIONS FOR PRINTING
First drag the image to your desktop.
Second open the jpeg and do not modify it in any way to insure proper printing.
Third go to the print menu, do not print without entering the print menu.
Fourth make sure the image is set to print to "Scale 100%" not print to "Fill Page."
These instructions are for Macs, but they should not be much different on a PC. The important thing is that you print it the way it is, and not to fill the page.
I will soon have pictures to go with these instructions as sort of a visual aid.
1:200 Airport Ground Foils Series 1 - Boeing 737-300 or Smaller
-----
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ASSEMBLY
After printing cut along the borders. Make as straight as possible. (Use straight edge cutter if possible.)
After cutting them out use the blank area provided to make sure the flow of space in between each gate is to the desiered width. Also make sure the yellow and black dashed line flows well.
Next using blue electrical tape, or masking tape tape them together lightly from the ink side.
After taped lightly on the ink side filp the pieces over and tape along the seam.
Next flip the pieces back over and carefully remove the tape from the front to make sure no ink is removed.
Then repeat as many times as necessary to complete the desired gate configuration.
I will soon have pictures to go with these instructions as well.
Enjoy the first batch!

A couple extra pictures to help show the final product!
Ignore the fact that I used two #1 gates.

A A380 specific gate is coming soon! I already had one made for myself, so all I have to do is make it to where I can post it here!

747 and 777 aircraft specific gates are coming soon! As well as a 767 specific gate, which is very close to being finished!

Finally! Someone who took it seriously and mad a step by step guide! Kudos to you, sIa31!
Tanks Pendulum19!
If anyone has any problems getting them to print right just shoot me a PM, and I'll do my best to help walk you through it. Like I said above I'm not exactly sure how or what is different on a PC.
The next set that will be available is going to be a general Boeing 767-300 or smaller wide body set.

Ok here is what the general 767-300 or smaller foils will look like. I should have them up for you guys to use within the next couple hours. Hope you like them.
Again the wings look like they hang over the yellow line because of the camera angle, but they do not. If you use a 767-300W the winglets will hang slightly over the line.
I don't have a 767-300 but the 757-300 is almost exactly the same length.

Here they are. A set of general 767-300 or smaller wide body foil set. Use the same instructions as the 737 series. These gates require two pieces per gate. Be sure to tape them together in the right place. Once put together the gate should be right around 37cm long. Pair the first one on this post with the first one on the second post and so on.

I know several people have said they were going to give them a try. One someone gets some printed and put together I'd like to see some pictures. Just so I can see that it has worked for someone else besides me.
Thanks in advance to whoever posts some pictures

Ok except that they look small, so 100% will be right? And the A380 wing shot, that looks fake but amazing!!! And the A3XX wing shot.
Yes, if you print them at 100% once you've dragged them to your desktop, and make sure it is not set to fill the page, they will be the size they need to be.
Here are the links to the pictures I use for my background.
Also I don't know if I've mentioned it anywhere. I recommend you use a thinker type of paper to print them on. Like card stock. It will work better than regular paper.
The next set that I will be adding is a A380 specific wide body set and a A380 or smaller general wide body set. I should have them up ready for use later today.

Ok, those pictures are amazing!!!!!!! How do I darg those pics? (And is it all or just like one if I want (Gate 1 example). What are the parts with like just a yellow line on it? I have Windows so I just copy that pic into my desktop and then follow the steps? Cause I am using Windows XP currentyl, so that makes it more difficult.
Either drag them with your mouse to your desktop, or copy and paste them to the desktop. Say your using the 737 set, and you want gates 1 through 5. Get gates 1 through 5 to your desktop, as well as the blank area that is at the bottom of the set. The blank area is the part with just the yellow/black line. It is used to put in between the gates to separate them. If you look at this picture I have put two gates together with a gap in between them. That gap is the extra piece with just the yellow/black line on it.

Has anyone else gotten these to work yet? Does anyone have pictures that I can see to make sure they are working right. Is anyone having problems with them?

Will the 767 one work for 787? Or should I wait for a 777 sized foil?
I can measure to see. I don't have a 787 model to actually size it too. But if you wait just a bit. I'm going to be adding a wide body foil that will fit any plane. It has markings for the A380 B777 A330 A340 B747 A310 MD-11 A300 B767 B757 (not a wide body I know) B787 and the A350.

Ok this is very rough right now, there are some lines that need fixed, and extended, and the fuel ports are not in the right places and so on. But I wanted everyone to see what I was talking about. This will be what the General A380 or smaller wide body gate will look like. It will fit any wide body aircraft as well as 757s. And each type has it's own specific spot for the best fit.
The aircraft that have specific places are the A380 B777 A330 A340 B747 A310 MD-11 A300 B767 B757 (not a wide body I know) B787 and the A350.

Sorry guys I had some stuff come up tonight and didn't get the A380 or smaller set finished. I should be able to get them up tomorrow though, so be on the look out for them.

Also, I still have to add the part below for both sets I've put up.
The gray arrow that can be seen on the right is the part you can already have above. The blue arrow on the left is the taxiway that I still have to add for you guys to download.

I was waiting for the bottom part Here are some pictures of them printed on normal paper and cut with scisors. I made another copy with thick paper after. Are these foils real in the States only though?

How did you make the jetways for the 777? Is there a printout you can post? I already have the other yellow GSE, just needed those jetways you have.

Thanks for the pictures! Now I know they are working for others, and the instructions I have can be easily followed.
I'll try to have the A380 set, as well as the bottom parts for all three up by the end of today.

Here is the updated Boeing 737-300 series foils with the added taxiway at the end of the page. I also added the blank area again so you can fill in any gaps you may have due to the way you construct them. The instructions have also been listed again.
The taxiway area is designed so a 757-200W can taxi by without it's wings hanging over into the gate area. They will also over hang a bit but you should just be able to over lap them.

I have a paper with them, it's like the GSE cars you have to fold, I can't scan it to my computer thoguh . I'll try to fix it in the computer whenever my scan works, I will just change the gray coloured parts I did.
Here is a couple pics of what the gates should look like once put together with the taxiway added. Just again, some trimming is necessary to add the taxiway. Once their lined up there is excess on either side. Once side can be overlapped, but the other has to be trimmed off.
Here you can see the 737-300 at the gate with a 757-200W that has plenty of wing room.
The updated post for the 737-300 gates is listed above. The 767-300 update will come soon.
