Default 1:400 General Aviation Aircraft Models.

Hi guys,

As you are aware from my other thread, im also in talks with chinese manufacturers.
I currently feel the lack of General Aviation aircraft in the model aircraft industry.

So currently, the best price i can get for a Learjet 24 (like below) is about $15 per plane at cost. Development cost which i will bear are about $1000 , which i will bear given the level of demand is reasonable (atleast about 100 orders, since cost for 1 model starts at $400 and then works down). I am not trying to make a profit, so i will sell at cost price, but buyers will pay shipping.

Are there any other plane models, you guys would really like to see or have (remembering it cost about $1000 in development cost for each plane, so please dont go naming some random ukrainian shed built model, which you only want, but rather models which are common and large amounts of people would buy.) to my mind comes planes such as Cessna 172/citation and Gulfstream.
Hope i can get some help from you guys.

There will always be a group of people who will have interest in this, including me, but what scale will you make them?? And I think that the most common private jets will do..

Scale 1:400 to start in, since its the most common. Most common jets maybe a cessna citation x, gulfstream v are better choice than this model

I would definitely buy a 1:400 Lear or two for an early-80s airport diorama I am planning (especially if you do a generic air ambulance version), as well as single- and twin-engine Cessnas, Pipers, and Beeches.

they will probably be resin, since its a lot cheaper, quality will be higher than in diecast metal since they are so small, just dont know the sturdyness and feel to it
cost will be somewhere between$15-20

This is cool but wouldn't these planes be extremely small in 1/400?

Could you possibly give me a rough price for two Bombardier Global Express and three Challenger 300, and how long it would take to make them

If i can get a decent producer, and enough demand no reason why not.

I am trying my best to make this happen. Thing is with Chinese sellers, there is a lot of fraud, and people scamming you using western union and T/T payments. And when i am putting out $3000 before even seeing the first product thats a large amount and i am trying to be careful, while at the same time looking for high quality manufacturers. So unless you have friends in china, then i don't know how you can help. But i am building my site
Home (Model-Airport.com)
you can feel free to help with that by either contributing, giving suggestions , models, what you want to see, or even help update the site if you want. Or help the site in anyway. Remember the point of the site is to give modellers all the resources to build a good airport for free.
