Default My Simple Model Airport

This is my simple model airport made from index cards, colored pencil, markers, and decals I printed from the internet!! I know the threshold color is supposed to be white but it is black on mine but it's hard to make white thresholds on white index card! And sorry about the poor quality, the pics were taken with a camera phone... Well here it is. Please Comment!

one thing I really love about it is the textures of the ground. If im not mistaken, I once saw a runway with negative colors (black threshold).. Meigs field?

Good effort. Where did you get the graphics/textures? Did you print them off the internet?

It's a lot like meigs field but it is a bit too big of a tarmac for that. Thanks for the kind words!

GSE would be nice and I love your airport. Best one out of color pencils, markers, etc? Also, the 1:500 scale planes kinda throw it off like the United Crj-200 and Horizon Dash 8Q300

Yeah. Those are 1:500 the rest are 1:400 but if you notice... 3 out of 4 of my AirTrans are also 1:500 instead of 1:400! The American Eagle CRJ-700 and ERJ-145 are both 1:500 also.

In a way, I sorta like this, as it helps me go back to relating when I tried to do my model airport back when I was around 15/16 myself which in itself used fairly similar techniques.

Keep up the good work, we might end up seeing your technique evolve into something really good! Even as it is now though, I'd still say it is worthy of a fair amount of praise, keep it up!

I also like the airport a lot. It reminds me of my several hand-made pencil-drawn airport(s). It's a lot of effort to draw everything with a pencil.
You could try building a terminal and other buildings, using cardboard or paper and paint it with your pencils. In that case, it would definitely fit to the airfield.

Just the width of an average index card.

Yeah! Ik! It is a nice dangerous looking runway! That is one of the reasons why I like it! Gives the pilots a challenge!

A nice start! Had it been me, I would have sacrificed my runways/taxiways for a terminal though, that's how my last airport was, and how my current/future one will be.

I probably will sooner or later but I am not willing to let go of the runways yet.
