Default Fids

I have been working on my airport for quite some time now, and what I have wanted to do for a while is create an editable FIDS (Flight Information Display System). Does anyone have any ideas or possibilities which I could employ for my airport (running off a computer of course).

How about using one of those small (8 inch) monitors and a computer running excel or something similar? Does your local cable tv have a FIDS channel like some do?
Some airports have a FIDS like display on their website.

What I was thinking about doing was using a flash design of a Solari board. There are a number of programmers who have produced open source code for such a display. Also check split-flap display effects. So the idea is to run a computer with this type of coding tied to flight arrivals and departures.

Try this for example: Terminal flight board text animation effect - Animations - ActiveDen

Good luck. Please update this thread and let us know what you did and didn't do and why!
