Do you know the completed size? Might go and buy a MDF board of that size.
Also do you have your completed airport photo somewhere for reference? :-)
I think it will get expensive but may be print them on matt photo paper? Man, just amazed with the details, did you draw each one individually?

Just use as many foils as neccessary. The foils ar not bind to a specific design.
That way You can have as many gates as You like, how many taxiways You like and as long a runway as You like (There are some runwayfoils missing, like escapes etc.)
Tip: Print a lot of foils at low quality on a black laser, or print one of each and make photocopies from that. Then cut the surplus paper and use the low q. prints as design templates. That way You know from the start how many high q. colorprints You will need.
The foils are all done using the drawing tools in MS word.
The advantage with these Word drawings versus i.e. JPG-files is that in Word the drawings are kept vectorized all the way. That way the quality of lines will not change when scaled up or down.

I have downloaded your foils and thank you for your kindness. I'm working with Photoshop and encountered some problems to modify your foils coz I must convert your foils under PDF then in JPEG with Photoshop. To avoid this long process I try to modify your work under Word but can't succeed: for instance I try to modify colors of your barrier fences in Frankfurt blue without success; Is it possible to you to send me fence image if it's necessary or give me the way to succeed ? Thanks for your answer

I will not make any 1:200 foils, but You coul maybe print the foils at 200% on larger paper. All the elements in the foils, exept for the concrete texture, are vectorized, so the quality should endure even when enlarged.

If You want to make a bitmap image, You could just push the 'Print Screen' key, paste into the photo editor of Your choice, crop and save.
However, the disadvantage in converting it to bitmaps is that You can no longer scale the image without loosing quality.
To endure the quality You should convert the Word drawing as vectorized images, but how to do that I'm not sure of.
Maybe som CAD-systems offer some kind of print to CAD functions.

Yes, I have put som work in the foils, and I hope that others may tweek them further - like an open source project
Well, it they were massproduced, they wouldn't be free, and I want them to be free.
These are terrific! You've obviously put a lot of time and effort into these.
Your open source project idea is just what the hobby needs! I've tweeked a few just to try it out and am very pleased with the results so far. I'll send you what I've been working on when I have something finished up. It would be nice to see what others are doing with them as well.

I found your foils today and I loved them!
Only problem is, I don't have a foil for the other end of the runway.
Would you please be able to mirror this file Foil-47-runway and make it runway 36 which was in your 'Runway' download.
Also, with that same file, I have it set up on my table with the Foil-47-runway foil and then the F2_narrow_park_01 file above it, with a space for another foil in between that none of your foils included in either of the downloads would fit.
I would really appreciate if you could edit those files for me, as I don't have Microsoft Word 97, only the veiwer.

The runwayfoils are somewhat preliminary - I have'nt put much effort in the runway.
I can't promise that i will ever fullfill the runwayfoils, but everyone is free to edit as they want.
If You don't have Word 97 or higher installed, it should be possible to edit the foils by the wordprocessor in the free office suite; Open office
You're right about the one foil missing to be placed as a entry to the foil 47. That should be a foil connecting the taxway to the runway, am I right?

I converted them to JPEGS and printed thumbnails, cut them out to see how I can create airport with all th things given. Failed little short. Because in providing flexibility, it is left to your imagination and then trying to find the right foil.
Nonetheless this is absolutely good start and plan to create small website, just like what kids uses for jigsaw puzzle and then keep laying down the things until you get what you want.
Note: This is not meant to be Heathrow. I simply have a Heathrow bag on the wall.
Here's my airport then. I used your foils, editied some and turfed where grass should go.
My camera is rubbish as I've metioned before, many times on W900.
I haven't build my terminal yet, neither have I bought any airbridges or GSEs.

Wow those 1:200 scale foils look beautiful.. would it be possible for someone to tell me exactly how to print it out in 1:200 scale.Something about printing x200%.So if anyone is kind enough could they send me detail instructions on how to print it out.Ive got a Pixma MP150 Printer btw if that helps.
