Default My Scratch Built 1/200 Airport

I started to create my own model airport with nearly all the models I have. I found a large baseboard and made incisions for the tarmac.
Progress so far!

Thanks! I wish my heavies were diecast but until they release some these will have to do! I have a Condor 763WL on order that will take the AC's spot.

Wow . .nice start.
You have heaps of options now to expand and detail your airport.
I can highly recommend GSEart and his home made GSE

Thanks! I have seen that GSE already! I will be making my own or waiting for Gemini's since it looks like they have some on the way!

Working on it more now on the weekend. Putting tape for the taxiway lines and coloring in the tiles black. Once I finish putting the tape all around, I will spray paint the whole board a light grey color.

Looks great! How did you darken the panel lines?

Took a think sharpie pen and drew in the cracks. I was going to use black paint but it would be too hard and complicated.

Thanks. Makes sense. I tried edging tarmac tiles with black paint on a previous project. It was very time consuming.

Finally an update! Painted the tarmac, few errors and paint leaks, but still undergoing those fixes.

Looking good. Are you planning buildings and jetbridges?

I was going to, but I think it will take too much time and effort which I don't have for making them! Hopefully some company or someone will make some good ones.

I saw that a while ago and lookd impressive, but must be built anyways!
I actually began to build a new jetway today because I had some motivation, will post photos of how it looks soon.
