Thumbs up How to build Cargo Containers!

Hej,

1:500 Cargo containers are hard to get. Herpa doesn't make them
for the time being.

I wonder if somebody has good ideas about contructing those Cargo
containers yourself?

Can you help?
Cheers,
Wim

Just take a paper and make 3D boxes, paint them silver.
It`s quite simple for 1:500, it`s so small you don`t need all the edge details.

Better still,
grab a length of either balsa or plastric tubing ( square in shape ) around 5mm wide.
Cut into small squares so that you create a box shape. Should be able to produce a lot from this.
Then shave an edge off to create the desired container look.
Paint silver and there you go.

I did the exact same thing with my 1/400 versions.
Out of 1 x 1m length you can achieve around 50+ containers!!!
Painting silver just finishes them off and its really easy and they are solid.
Good luck.
