Doubt it! Even if it does, I am sure attendance would be down for several reasons!

Look at the thread re Cheshire Fair not happening and that was scheduled for 8-9 August!

Looking at the table layout today (if up to date), the main ballroom only looks about half full and no tables booked in the second (overflow room). For this late in the year, doesn't look good!

Probably no one willing to commit at this stage of outbreak.

My company is shut down until July ist. If I go back to work then, I don't see myself being able to leave a few weeks later for vacation. Unless we open a lot sooner which most likely wont happen then sadly I may have to bow out and cancel...My guess is it wont happen. Maybe postponed to the fall?

This is posted on their website as of 03/30/2020

AIRLINERS INTERNATIONAL 2020 PHOENIX!
MARCH 30, 2020

The AI 2020 PHX planning committee is keeping a close eye on the COVID-19 virus impact on the world, and the its stunning impact on the world's travel industry. As of now, AI 2020 PHX will proceed as planned in July, unless otherwise directed by health authorities and government restrictions. Rest assured, we will never place any of our guests in harms way. If we are not able to host AI 2020 PHX, we will advise as soon as possible.

Due to the current unknowns, we are delaying all tour booking until late April / early May. In the next few weeks, we will send out tour descriptions and prices.

Once we are certain that AI 2020 PHX can proceed, we will send out the tour booking details and timeline. We have received confirmation of three different tours courtesy of Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. We are planning all day bus trips to The Pima Air & Space Museum on Wednesday and Friday. We are planning C-47/DC-3 and C-45/Beech 18 scenic flights. And more.

We have confirmed our Saturday banquet guest speaker, Howard D. Putnam, former CEO of Southwest and Braniff International. Howard will recount his days in the airline world, "From the Bag Room to the Board Room".

Los Angeles just extended stay at home order till 05/15/2020. I have a feeling the go no-go decision will have to be made pretty soon.

Got an e-mail yesterday that they are still keeping an eye on what Phoenix local government is doing. Still on at this point.

Sadly, I think even if the does go on, I think the number of retailers and attendance will be down.

I think a lot of the tours will probably be a no-go regardless if it's held or not. There are absolutely no visitors allowed at work right now. They even kicked out our cafeteria people since they were contractors and deemed non-essential.

So many obstacles and barriers this year. Ugh. Maybe it’ll be best to postpone.

I would think so! Even if it is a go, it is too soon and many will be reluctant to travel and be in a room with some creepy, dirty, aviation geeks possibly shedding virus. Plus, not many probably wanting to travel by plane. Many may be trying to recover financially as well with no additional funds for toy planes and memorabilia! Just look at the for sale section and Ebay with people trying to unload stuff for funds!

You and me both Russ! I think over the last month I have added about 25 1:200s. I took pics of some and posted a few weeks back, but not the recent ones. Just added an IF200 Continental 747 "black meatball" back to the collection last night. A few others include: IF200 Braniff 707 light green, IF200 TWA 707 Hollow Titles, G200 TWA MD-82, G200 Open Skies 757, AC200 United DC-8-61 Stars and Bars, SMA200 Delta MD-11 Widget without stripe on tail (this completes my SMA Delta MD-11 fleet of 4, Hogan 200 F-16 "Nellis" & "Alaska", Phoenix 250 Thai DC-3, Gemini200 Lufthansa 748 NCs, ANA C3PO 777-200, G250 PBA DC-3 and more in my sights. It was either planes or a new ZL1 Camaro or RAM2500 with Cummins Diesel as I miss the one I sold years ago. Figured planes were safer! I need help!

Good to know your travels have been uneventful Russ. It is going to be interesting to see how it goes when things start to slowly open back up!
