I cant make it...Unlike the many hundreds here on this forum who are planning to attend that show in China, I had to choose between your show or the the 5th annual East Mongolia Collectables Show held in several tents just outside Ulaanbaatar.. Mongolia won out...

LOL...would love to go, but I would most likely get caught in secondary and then off to a camp for a lifetime of hard labor! LOL

If it was held in Hong Kong maybe but my biggest problem is getting Visa for entering mainland China..

You may enter visa free for 144 hours if you produce a confirmed ticket onto a 3rd country.

Looks like a 1:500 crowd to me! Folded arms and looking at cell phones, not a good sign! LOL

Looking at cell phones, is the new scourge of the 21st century.

This is the third time I attended...1st, 3rd and now 5th annual.

Smaller room compared to the first show, for sure, but the foot traffic was constant. Visitors were walking out with models and memorabilia, a lot of enthusiastic conversations. I think its a positive sign on how model airplanes popularity is growing in China.

Now, if you're trying to compare it to the more established shows, though I have never been to any other but probably no comparison. Give it time...all has to start from somewhere. ;)

Starallianceflyer, thanks for your take on the show and confirmation on collectors buying.

HTF200, LOL So true. I was thinking of that Eminem video, "will the real Slim Shady please stand up"

I am still trying to get clarification on the how many rows of tables..It looks like mostly 400 scale models in the pics. Tiny venue??

Like you, I wish someone would post more pictures of the show or mention how many vendors were in attendance! I am wondering if it was just a factory worker appreciation day with a good Mongolian Barbecue! LOL
