Default Airliners International Atlanta June 2019

June 19th-22nd at the Delta Museum. The grand daddy of all shows. Any Dac'ers going to make the pilgrimage?

Only if Russel, Andrew & Michael will go, than of course i'll be there are you kidding me! Besides i love being in Atlanta around that time drinking Coca-Cola & eating Baskin Robbins ice cream!

Wasn't last years show a disaster or am I thinking of another show?

Always wanted to go to a show, plus ATL spotting sounds great. If I don't go to Seattle for wedding that weekend, I'm hitting my first show.

Depends who you ask. Some say it was good, some not so. It was about 2 hours away, but did not go as for the most part, the same vendors selling the same stuff. Plus I was under the weather. Anyway, the shows got old for me! I can take the money spent to go to a show and order $1K or more in planes on-line! Unless you get a table or pay for early access most of the good stuff gets snapped up by the vendors.

I was thinking about driving down and spending the night down there. I don't wanna spend all this money if I can't get models for a decent price.

Last years show was the annual regional show with a fraction of the dealers and yes local attendance was poor...However, this will be the International show stretching over 3 days held once every four years.. I have been attending the International show since the early 80's and the one held at Atlanta in 2015 was one of the best ever. I highly recommend anyone who can make it to show up.

Mr. Reeves it is a great opportunity to pick models up at huge discounts no shipping charges too!

The show was a disaster last year as three, yes 3 , shows had the same date. Terrible planning to have 3 shows simultaneously.

Airliners International in 2015 was the most amazing show, I had ever been to. The ATL venue was brimming with goodies.

If a collector has not been to a show, I agree, Atlanta is the best venue! AI makes it the best of both worlds!

I was at the Cleveland AI show in 2013 and it was a lot of fun - definitely planning on making this one since I'm not far away.

The Renaissance Hotel, great food, tons of space at the Delta museum to walk around, the constant movements on the airfield at ATL. It's fantastic.

Anyone with pics of the AI there in 2015 that they can post as a teaser for those that have not attended in the past? 2015 was a great show! I did find a few hard to find models at decent prices. One was a mint in box KLM 747-400 for $360.

Was that Michael in video number 3? Never heard him talk before.

Talked it over with my babysitter and I will be reserving a room at the Renaissance Hotel for a night.

So... should I bring cash? And do I need to register on the site?

you can just pay the one day entrance fee at the door...most if not all the dealers take credit cards..

Thanks Russ! Figured pics and videos may convince those on the fence to attend. May even convince me if I look at them enough. If for nothing else, to say hello to some friends and see the new additions to the museum!

Crazy...I've always wondered what Waffle looks like. Not what I imagined, lol

Enjoyed watching all those videos! I'm hoping I can attend AI one of these years.
