Well I went into this show with a very pessimistic view however was I ever wrong..Great selection of models as well as other memorabilia. Very nice public turnout for the first of 3 days especially since it was a Thursday..Probably over a hundred buyers in today....
Tons of 1:100 models, lots of vendors too..
some highlights.....I picked up a 1/200 Jet Wings DC-8 61 Stretch National Airlines from the defunct Collectors Aircraft Models London...New independent seller who redoes Aero Minis and they are top notch, hand painted and high quality...1/200 IL-62 asking $400. Lots of 1/100 scale models. Enjoy

yes that was a great show, 89 I flew in on an Odyssey 757, and while taxiing in to parking gate I watched an Air Gabon 747 along side us power up and blow a bunch of baggage carts over on their side.
Thanx for the pix - mouth watering stuff which seems to be mostly 1/200, but I see some 1/400, too. I plan to make one of these A.I. shows again, and hope to be wearing to a custom tee shirt, silk screened with DA.C on the front and my avitar on the back. That is if I get around to it, Doug

Good news for you the next best thing is coming up soon and not too far from you, the Atlanta collectors show on October 6th in Atlanta at the Delta Airlines Heritage Museum..... an incredible collectible show with a big turnout. I highly recommend it.
Looks like is was a great event, many large scale rarities there. Thanks for taking the time to post the pics Russ. It’s interesting to see an event the other side of the pond.

It was a good show. The DCA airside tour was nice as we were able to get off the bus for a while to take photos. Charles Kennedy did an Awesome! job with his North Korea presentation.

Crazy as it sounds, I was told if you turn the volume on your phone to near zero, your photos will not be sideways. I tried it, and it worked. iPhone 6 is what I have. Volume down, not the mute function. Thanks for posting, but I to have a kink in my neck.

I download them onto my computer first and they are all straight. When I attach them as a file in the thread they somehow get rotated.

yes all reconditioned original Aero Minis, he has done several dozen and they are all top notch but very pricey.... No website but I can have the customizer call you I have his contact information.

No website, I inquired. The gentleman selling these informed me that these were refurbished Aerominis. He Hand painted them and cleaned/refurbished them up. It is indeed a Braniff 747. He was asking $500 for wide bodies and $300 for narrow bodies. Most 747s he made only six of each livery. His name was Dan.
