Thank you so much. He is seeking Acupuncture now and has had his hours cut back (doctors orders) at work. So far, I have been unsuccessful finding a job, but Aryelle is taking more hours at work.

It was okay, it probably would of been better if it was indoors somewhere, not outside. There was a UFly 737 sim there, but it wasn't that good because the guy telling you what to do always takes the yoke away from you.

There was also a lot of people inside AV World and in the tents. Inside AV world there wasn't much except new 1/200 Skymarks and new military stuff. Inside the tents there was a whole bunch of vendors but none of the models they sold I liked, except for the 1/200 Air Canada 727 and the 1/200 Air Canada DC-9. But the 727 was 170 while the DC-9 was 160, so I did not buy it because it was too expensive. Like maybe 100 would of been okay, to share the purchase between me and my dad.

There was also a Hogan 1/200 Swissair MD-11 with the golden stripes on it but it did not come with a box and it was around 90 dollars!!! So I only looked at that one. And I found out that the vendor selling the 727 and the DC-9 I really liked was Mr. T7!

I was actually glad to meet him.

After that I went indoors to Threshold and there wasn't much, maybe because of the show. It was all the same stuff from last time except for some new t-shirts, and a whole bunch of new Skymarks. I wish they can get more Hogan or GJ200 and less Skymarks. But when I was about to step out of the door, a Gemini200 Air Canada L-1011-500 that I liked but of course, it came with a price tag of $109, which isn't much compared to 179.99 listed on GJ's website. I really wish I could buy it, but I would rather get that WestJet 737-800 by [email protected] than this.

So that's all I did, and did not buy anything, sadly. Also, sorry for making this a bit long.

I am sorry the weather did not cooperate. My daughter was the victim of a Hit and Run yesterday so sadly, I was thinking of making the trip down after saying I could not make it, but the damage to the car was too much to risk driving that far.

That used to be my Air Canada L1011 by the way

I was planning on attending the show but a couple of things came up. I had a medical test on Thursday that prevented me from driving for the day. I had intended to run some errands in the afternoon on Thursday but I could tell I could not drive. Then my work schedule changed on Friday. I was going to do my errands on Friday morning but my boss needed the morning off so we switched shifts. So all the errands I need to do had to be done on Saturday. So this prevented me from attending the show.

A nice thing about AW is their lot is always virtually empty so it is easy to find a spot to park.

Yeah, I would have to agree with you on that...

But, they now have definitely turned things around with their reboot. Last saturday was just a start, there are plenty of more changes to come I heard so this was just the beginning. I couldn't venture into the store last saturday, due to the hordes of aviation customers inside. My buddy had to wait 40 minutes in line for the free burgers/sausages/hotdogs. The line went around the building, luckily he was also picking up my food order while I tended my tables. I did very well with my sales and treated him to supper and Captain America Civil War later that day. Cheers! T7

I gotta apologize to you. I was just having some fun with their 2 allocated parking spots. They would not be allowed to put 4 vendor tables within their 2 parking spots; they would receive an infraction/fine ticket from the city.

That they did! Funny thing was that I always posted "AV World" on the DAC from the day I joined the DAC a few years back. Now it's being officially used going forward. Gotta love it!

If AV World want to remain viable, it would be good for them to carry a much more diverse set of suppliers. 500 Gemini product boxes doesnt help if it is a vendor they do not carry and Threshold does. The updated web site is a huge improvement.

One thing that is useful is that both sites have web sites and allow comparison shopping on both stock and price. They each have a 10% discount program if not identified on the sites. Both stores sell a lot more than just diecast.

If you look at the diecast selection for 1/200. Threshold has a more diverse number of suppliers. Also, when I compared Gemini products, 7 of 10 were cheaper at Threshold, sometimes only by cents, other times by up to 10% . Bottom line, literally and figuratively is the check both stores out [on line and/or in person] and make your own decision as to where to buy.
