Many thanks for the story and the pictures, it is true that the A 300 was the first in many areas.
I remember that just like the Concorde, the A 300 was not allowed to land on US airports, an unfounded and non-existant problem of taxiways and parking areas unable to sustain the weight of the aircraft.
The FAA did everything it could to protect Boeing,Douglas and Lockheed.
Trade protectionism ...
A great model, it is a pity that SOCATEC did not go further with a barcode livery which could have been equally successful.
A lost opportunity ...
I bought another model, decals and made my own model, I simply had to repaint the fuselage, it sits now proudly in my cabinet.
I have a spare model which could have the Air Inter livery in the coming weeks, and thanks to Steve, the very nice QANTAS version.
